HILTON HOME ED - THURSDAY MORNINGS

We’re doing things a little differently this half term (September to October)!

Our Thursday Home Ed sessions will become an EngineerED Lab, a six-week hands-on engineering course for 11-16 year olds. Students will develop real engineering skills through a skateboard-themed project, exploring:

• Computer Aided Design (CAD)
• Maths challenges
• Product design
• Physics simulations
• Prototyping
• Engineering design processes
• And more!

We’ll also be running a separate group for 6-10 year olds (10am-11am), focused on building foundational computer science and design technology skills through fun, practical activities.

All sessions can be booked via our website.

There are funded places available for neurodivergent students aged 11-16 thanks to support from the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation.

Proof that engineering can be beautiful... ✨

Last week in Tech+ our young makers transformed LEDs, wire and imagination into glowing works of art.

From sketching ideas and shaping designs to soldering circuits and troubleshooting, every student created something completely unique. The finished pieces looked fantastic, but the real magic was seeing their confidence grow as they solved problems and brought their ideas to life.

Tech+ is designed specifically for young people aged 12-16 who love creating, building, coding, making and figuring out how things work.

We often hear from parents that opportunities for older children can be hard to find locally, especially hands-on sessions that go beyond crafts and keep curious minds challenged. That's exactly why we created Tech+.

📅 Our next Tech+ session is Wednesday 19th August , with more electronics, design, engineering and technology projects.
