A huge well done to all the children who took part in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge through their local library!

It has been wonderful to see so many of our children enjoying books over the summer, discovering new stories, finding new favourites and continuing to develop a love of reading.

As we continue to celebrate the National Year of Reading, it’s the perfect time to remind ourselves of the joy, imagination and endless possibilities that books can bring.

If you haven't already, we'd love to encourage your child to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge at your local library. It's a fantastic way to keep children reading over the holidays, discover new books, and have lots of fun along the way.

If your child completes the challenge and receives a certificate, please bring it into school by the first Thursday of term. We would love to celebrate their achievement during our first Achievement Assembly of the year.

Yesterday we said goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 children as they prepare to begin the next exciting chapter of their journey at secondary school.

Listening to the children share their favourite memories of their time at Brent Knoll Primary School was incredibly special. From friendships and school trips to sports days, performances and everyday moments in the classroom, it was a lovely reminder of just how much they have achieved together.

This year group has had a unique journey. They had only just started primary school when the COVID-19 pandemic brought lockdowns and uncertainty. Despite those challenges, they have shown resilience, determination and kindness, growing into a fantastic group of young people who should be immensely proud of everything they have accomplished.

The music featured in the background of this video is performed by our wonderful school choir during their recent performance at the church. Their beautiful singing provides the perfect soundtrack to celebrate this special milestone.

"Don't be afraid of new beginnings. Every ending is simply the start of a brand new adventure."

We are so proud of each and every one of you and know that you will go on to achieve amazing things. Good luck as you take your next steps into secondary school—embrace every opportunity, believe in yourselves and never stop being the wonderful people you are.

Last week, Brent Knoll Primary held our annual Awards Assembly, celebrating the wonderful achievements of our pupils.

During the assembly, children were presented with our School Values Certificates, recognising those who consistently demonstrate our core values of Trust, Hope, Endurance, Justice, Thankfulness, and Compassion. Each recipient was carefully selected by their class teacher in recognition of the positive example they set every day.

A huge congratulations to all of our award winners! We are incredibly proud of you and the way you embody our school values, helping to make Brent Knoll Primary such a caring and inspiring community.

Celebrating Reading Success!

As we celebrate the National Year of Reading, we're proud to be working in partnership with PageTicker.

Using PageTicker, we've been able to track our pupils' reading records and celebrate the top-achieving readers in each year group. It's been wonderful to see so many children developing a love of reading and making reading a daily habit.

Congratulations to all of our winners, and well done to every pupil for their fantastic reading efforts this year. Here's to even more pages turned, more stories discovered, and a lifelong love of reading!

Last Thursday, our KS2 children wowed us with their annual production, Grimm: Once Upon a Musical. Their confidence, enthusiasm and talent shone throughout the performance, making it a truly memorable evening for everyone who came along.

A huge well done to every KS2 pupil who took part, and a big thank you to Miss Hill, Mrs Bond, and all of the staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to bring the musical together. Your dedication and support made the production such a success.

Set against the backdrop of a beautiful sunny evening on our school field, it was the perfect setting for a wonderful performance. Thank you to all the families and friends who came to support the children—we're so proud of every single one of them!
