Maturing, Loving Music

Started in Birmingham, UK in 2009, Selly Oak Music School has quickly become the music school of choice for many local students due to high quality of teaching, excellent exam and competition results. We maintain our 100% passing rate at ABSRM result and often 100% Distinction rate in many exam periods. Dr Fang moved to Kota Kinabalu and continued her excellent teaching in KK. In the short 20 months in KK, she has helped many students improving their skill and passing examinations. In fact, all her students in KK who took ABRSM examination achieved distinction. Following her husband's move back to Birmingham (UK) in 2017, Dr Fang has reopened her music school in Birmingham in February 2017. Many of her pupils were the prize winner of local music competitions, and got offered from NCO and CBSO youth orchestra. Many of her students got the music scholarship from local independent schools. Two of her students have been offered to study music at University of Taipei. She also taught music at University of Sabah during her stay in Malaysia.

The "Summer course and festival 2026" began yesterday, Monday, August 4, in front of a packed audience, with the concert featuring violinist Elvira Bekova, violinist Heng-Ching Fang, cellist Alfia Bekova, clarinetist Roberto Tofi, and pianist Leonora Baldelli.
The warm and prolonged applause highlighted the various moments of the beautiful concert, during which authentic masterpieces by Schubert, Mozart, and Beethoven were performed.
The second event today, August 5, will be held at the Oratorio della Misericordia, with the violinist Heng-Ching Fang and cellist Alfia Bekova as the main protagonists.
Tomorrow, at 6:30 PM, it will be the turn of the violinist Fabrizio Lepri, who will give an open concert lesson for both the public and students.
Starting tomorrow, the seminar on the historical piano, held by Professor Claudio Veneri, will take place, which will be held mostly at the Auditorium of Santa Chiara and will conclude on Saturday, August 8.
