Heswall Primary School A lovely primary school on Whitfield Lane, Heswall. We believe that: "Better Never Stops!" The pupils of Heswall Primary speak for themselves.

Heswall Primary: The School in the Trees

Heswall Primary is a popular, successful and thriving school close to the centre of Heswall and bordering on the beautiful Barnston fields. We are a school that provides a unique and exciting place to learn and offer a warm, nurturing and friendly provision which is fully inclusive to serve the local community. Heswall Primary is blessed with wonderful grounds including a huge field with amazing woodland areas - we are surrounded by trees and plants. We ensure our children consistently use the grounds and as a result we have been named as an 'Eco-Ambassador School'. This is an advanced eco-status and we are one of just 12 schools nationwide to receive this award. We also consistently deliver high levels of achievement and attainment, our excellent SAT's results over many years reflect this. Our SEND record is very good and, with the appropriate support, children with special educational needs make very good progress. Wherever we go, we always receive wonderful comments about the behaviour of the 'children in the red jumpers'. We pride ourselves on having happy children who achieve excellent things.

Propagation Club has been busy creating the beginnings of our new herb garden area. They’re also getting ready for the delivery of our cold frame, which means we’ll be able to grow seedlings throughout the colder months.

We thought families might be interested in these upcoming events taking place!

Samantha Cooper, a PhD Researcher at LJMU, has previously worked with Heswall Primary School on a project exploring plants helping children to notice, appreciate and understand the plants and natural world around them.

These events look like a lovely opportunity for families to learn more and get involved!

Hedgehog Club has been hard at work making small log piles on the school field! We're hoping the mini habitats encourage invertebrates to thrive, helping feed and protect our local hedgehogs and wildlife.
