We’re getting closer to the first Rugby Buddy session of the 2026/27 season, and there are only a final few places remaining.

This season will also see some of our biggest additions yet, with even more support around each player’s development, including extra online support, coaching, mental skills work and year-round guidance alongside the weekly sessions.

The 2026/27 season is about more than turning up for one rugby session a week 🏉

We’re building a clear development plan that supports players across the whole year, on the pitch and away from it.

From September to June:
Weekly rugby development sessions, term-time training and regular mental skills workshops.

Through July and August:
Recovery, preparation, online check-ins and support to get players ready for the season ahead.

Plus year-round development through AthleticIQ App, covering athletic development, nutrition, hydration, movement and more.

🏉 The game has changed, so development has to change with it.

Academy rugby demands more than simply repeating drills. Players need to understand the game, make decisions under pressure and develop the technical and tactical detail needed to perform when it matters.

That means less time simply being told what to do, and more time thinking, adapting and making decisions.
