🧪✨ Potion Making in the Toddler Room! ✨🧪

Today our toddlers became little potion makers and had lots of fun creating their very own magical potions! 🧙‍♀️🧪✨

The children explored a variety of resources including bowls, cups, spoons, whisks and pipettes, using their imaginations to mix and create different colourful potions. 💜💚💙

This exciting sensory activity supported lots of learning and development, including:

✨ Gross motor skills – through tipping, pouring and transferring.
✨ Fine motor skills – using the pipettes, whisks, spoons and other tools.
✨ Hand-eye coordination – carefully filling and emptying the different containers.
✨ Creativity and imagination – creating their own special magical potions!
✨ Communication and language – talking about what they were doing and describing their creations.

There was lots of mixing, pouring, exploring and, of course, plenty of messy fun! 🥰🧪✨

Smoothie Making ✨🍓

In the Toddler Room, we had lots of fun making our very own delicious fruit smoothies! 🍓🍎🍌

The children used safety knives to carefully cut up the fruit before adding it to the blender along with water and apple juice. They were fascinated watching the blender mix everything together to create our yummy smoothies! 🥤✨

Throughout the activity, we had lots of conversations about different fruits, where they come from and how they grow. We also talked about healthy foods and the importance of making healthy choices. 🌱🍎

Once our smoothies were ready, the children enjoyed tasting their delicious creations — what a yummy treat! 🤍🥤

🦕✨ A Dinosaur Adventure! ✨🦕

This week, some of our toddlers enjoyed a lovely walk into town to see the amazing yarn bombers’ dinosaur creations! 🦖🦕

The children were so excited to spot all the different dinosaurs and enjoyed looking at the colourful and creative displays. Along the way, we talked about what we could see, practised our road safety skills and enjoyed exploring our local community. 🚶‍♀️🚦💕

It was a wonderful little adventure, and the children had lots of fun spotting the dinosaurs! 🦕💜

Our preschool children have been busy setting up their very own post office! 📬✨

The children enjoyed creating their own letters and pictures for their friends and loved ones, using pencils and lots of creativity to share their messages. 💌 They then posted their letters into our special post box, ready to be delivered! 📮

This activity was a lovely way to encourage early writing, mark making and communication, while also helping the children understand how letters are written, posted and sent. ✏️📝

We loved seeing the children’s imaginations come to life as they decided what they wanted to write and who they wanted to send their special deliveries to! 💕📬

What an amazing morning we’ve had at our Circus Open Day! 🤍🎪

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our morning so special. We were absolutely blown away by the fantastic turnout and loved seeing so many familiar faces, as well as welcoming new families into our Ashbourne family. 🥰
