A cosy home from home setting with firm beliefs in natural outdoor learning. Ofsted registered childminder open during the school terms 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday.

I provide a cosy home from home environment for a small group of children. I love working with children, helping them to settle in and learning about what each child is interested in. I believe children are born ready to learn and they do that in their own ways and at their own pace. I love providing resources that children can freely explore while finding opportunities to further their knowledge.

Whether that is a social moment learning to share and play with different age groups or help to sound letters they have found there is opportunity all around and I will provide resources based on what each child is interested in. The downstairs of my home is open for the children to freely enjoy access to indoors and the garden. The dining room provides an area for messy play and crafts, the living room has easy access to a wide selection of resources and opens into a purposefully designed secure garden with a variety of areas and resources including mud kitchen, rock climbing and a slide. I use the gardens as an extension on my house with lots of fruit and herbs growing all around, a vertical growing wall in the front for children to grow their own plants and a vegetable patch in the back. We have 4 very friendly cats who have always lived around young children and will pop in to say hi before sneaking off to hide in their favourite hidden places. As well as 2 chickens in the back garden who the children love popping out to take left over snacks and check for eggs, we raised the chickens ourselves and they are also part of the family. With over 12 years experience within the early years sector I have cared for children as an early years practitioner, classroom assistant, babysitter and nanny, as well as having two of my own children. Working as a childminder allows me to spend more quality time with a small group of children and create an environment where I am flexible for each child's individual needs. I have the following qualifications:

- Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies (Level 5)
- Level 3 Childcare
- Level 2 Managing Children's Behaviour
- Paediatric First Aid
- Food and Hygiene Certificate
- Health and Safety Certificate
- Safeguarding Courses
- Full Enhanced DBS Check
- Clean Driving Licence

Lots of fun this term!

WE DID IT! A non business post but wanted to share with everyone as we are all very proud.

Reuben (9) and Harrison (7) completed a brilliant 100 miles in May and raised a whopping £520.00 for Cancer Research! There was blood, sweat and tears for all involved but the boys pursued with bike rides every evening after work and through the weekends followed by a very strenuous but amazing hike up Scaffel Pike.

Experiencing the boys pushing through the hard parts and enjoying the achievements has been a wonderful experience and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has donated and contributed to the life changing work that Cancer Research carry out. Thank you!

So so proud of the boys, 50 miles done already!! Thank you so much for everyone who has donated to this great cause! We are now aiming for £300 to cancer research and they should be able to complete the full 100 miles with me!

What a beautiful start to the summer term! The children have been having a fantastic time exploring the local area as well as lots of gardening and play in the garden.

Reuben, Harrison and I are fundraising! We have signed up to walk/ride 100 miles in May to raise money for cancer research. This is a charity close to our hearts and the boys are aiming for a minimum of 50 miles each (hopefully they can achieve 100 miles with me). Into the wild! What a beautiful Autumn we are having this year!

The children had a brilliant time on their first day back. Exploring all the new resources in the garden, getting very messy and harvesting the apples as well as lots of dancing, painting and building train tracks. Everyone was very happy and settled straight in to play with their friends. A great start to the third year of Childminding and I'm looking forward to seeing all the children having fun while learning and growing over the next year!
