Vertical mark making is a fantastic way to strengthen children’s shoulders, arms and hands, helping to develop the fine motor skills and coordination they need for future writing. And the best part? They’re learning all of this while having fun and being creative! 🎨 🖍️✨

Rolling, squeezing, pressing and shaping playdough is so much more than fun! These simple actions help strengthen the muscles in little hands, developing the fine motor skills needed for writing, cutting and self-care tasks. Playdough also encourages creativity, problem-solving, language development and imagination, while providing a calming sensory experience that supports learning through play every step of the way. ✨

Our wonderful Mini Explorers group is a lovely opportunity for parents and carers to catch up, make new friends, and share experiences while our little ones explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors together.
Sometimes the best learning looks wonderfully messy 💙
Our children explored a simple mixture of cornflour gloop and blue paint using their hands, discovering texture, movement, cause and effect, and creativity through open-ended sensory play. Every swirl, squeeze, and splash is an opportunity to learn.
All set up under a lovely cool tree for today’s Little Explorers group! 🌳 We’re looking forward to a morning of exploring, connecting, and bringing our community together.
