The Science
Why willpower will never work (and what will)
You've been trying to use conscious willpower to override subconscious programming.
That's like trying to steer a car from the back seat.
Your subconscious mind learned:
Sugar = reward
Sweet = safe
Chocolate = love
And it's been running that programme for 20, 30, 40+ years.
No amount of "trying harder" changes a programme.
You need to rewrite it.
That's what hypnotherapy does. It speaks directly to the programmer—your subconscious mind—and updates the code.
In hours, not years.
Who's ready to stop fighting and start reprogramming? 🙋♀️

Be a good girl on the bus and you can have some chocolate buttons, the white ones you love...
Sit nicely in the supermarket trolley and you can have a biscuit....
Eat all your dinner up like a good girl and you can have a dessert....
Eat all your main meal at school and you can have pudding and custard....
Sit quietly while the grown-ups are talking and you can have some trifle....
Be a good girl and you can have a lollipop...
Walk nicely with grandad and you can get some pick and mix from the shop...
Be a good girl and you can get an ice cream from the ice-cream van...
Notice a pattern here?
I've been conditioned to turn to sugar when I've done something good. When I've "Been good enough". For me, sugar has always been a reward..even as an adult...Mother's Day.. given chocolates for being a good Mum...passed exams..given chocolates to celebrate...moving into a new house..given chocolates to celebrate...had a baby...brought chocolates to celebrate...you get the picture.
I'm addicted to sugar....it's not my fault....my subconscious mind once realised that when I had been "good" I was rewarded with sugar and it felt amazing..I got a hit of dopamine and it felt great...so it created a habit. The problem is...after a while..one square of chocolate or one buiscuit didn't give quite the hit of dopamine that it used to, so, like any other addiction...my brain needed a bit more..then a bit more..and it's easy to see how easily the weight can pile on and as you get older..it's not so easy to lose it....And you can get to feeling ashamed of yourself for giving in to the sugar cravings ...you tell yourself " just one more chocolate" or "Go on then, one piece won't hurt"..but secretly, you're looking for the biggest piece of cake...and you feel guilty.. Some days you can't even bear to look at yourself in the mirror..it's too shameful...
If you're reading this and thinking, "That's me! Please understand that it's not your fault...you've been conditioned to feel and behave this way...and it can be turned around...actually quite a lot quicker than you might realise...
With hypnotherapy, the unwanted habits of turning to sugar as a reward can be reversed so that food is seen as fuel rather than a reward. And it can be done in a matter of hours, not months, or even years! So you end the constant battle inside your head and start to relax around food and actually enjoy it again, like you used to..before you became addicted.
Does this resonate with you?

Our yearly calendar is programming you to gain weight. You're being conditioned (and it's not your fault) to consume way more confectionery than your body needs:
February : Valentine's Day- Chocolate, champagne
Pancake Day- Sugar, syrup
March: Mother's Day - Chocolates, alcohol
April : Easter eggs, Chocolate, hot-cross
Buns, Simnel cake
Summer: Ice-Cream, cocktails, BBQ's
October: Halloween-Sweets
November: Bonfire Night - Parkin, toffee, pies
December: Christmas cake, mince pies, chocolate.
Christmas pudding, chocolate log,
Alcohol
New Year's Eve - more alcohol
And it all starts again! It's no wonder our children are growing up conditioned to expect sweet treats as a normal way of life. Society is training them good and proper.....🤔

The Quiet Money Leak
🚬 Quick question:
If £12 fell out of your pocket every day… how long would you ignore it?
Because that’s roughly what smoking costs many people.
Not once a month.
Every. Single. Day.
That’s:
• A weekend away
• New clothes
• A proper savings cushion
…quietly going up in smoke.
You don’t lack willpower.
You’ve just never been shown how to switch off the habit at the subconscious level — where it actually lives.
💷 Stop funding a habit that gives you nothing back.
