Project-arCc stands for assuming responsibility for Climate change.

The British Council funded project aims to achieve a collective response towards climate change, using combined efforts of 14 partners representing 13 countries.

Today marked the end of Project-arCc with its final conference. It was such an exciting morning, (cohosted with Andrew Golding) starting with amazing videos from students, very interesting reflection from colleagues (https://arcc.mdx.ac.uk/contactUs.html) and an unprecedented lightning round of teaser presentations from our esteemed guest speakers. Student poster national winners were voted by the local project managers and we concluded with some interesting insights. All this thanks to the funding from the British Council, the hard work of all partners and the commitment of students. Special thanks to the MCIS team who helped throughout, Cristiano Maia who created the website before he moved on to new challenges, Kajal Mistry for all the coordination support 24-7 and last but not least to Ariadne Tsiakara who spent weekends and nights ensure that all our outputs are available.

The project website (https://arcc.mdx.ac.uk/) and our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvgLN2u1l43_qlu18CSI7gg) will have all the webinars (more than 40), the micro lessons with videos and online content and our virtual exhibition with student posters and videos.

It was overwhelming to see more than 200 visitors throughout the conference, peaking at 215 ZOOM participants.

It is sad to see the project ending but motivated for the new challenges ahead. Watch this space for more updates.

What an amazing experience! More than 120 pupils and ten staff members of Dunya School in Baku, Azerbaijan attended the Project-arCc awareness event. The formal launch of the 'Assuming Responsibility for Climate Change' competition was a blast. The young audience was enthusiastic and actively engaged with the panel. Admittedly their, more than 30, questions were quite challenging and indicative of the extremely high level of the School's student body.

His Excellency H.E. James Sharp, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan and Mr. Francis Gardener Trejo, Country Director of the British Council addressed the audience following the introduction of Raziya Isayeva, Development Director, Khazar University and the talk given by Prof Georgios Dafoulas, Director of Programmes in Computer Science Department at Middlesex University.

We were honoured and extremely thankful for the ambassador's willingness to spend the morning at the School, explaining the importance of such efforts. We are also grateful for the support provided by the British Council and the director's speech on climate change and the environment.

The video recording will be soon available from the Project-arCc YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvgLN2u1l43_qlu18CSI7gg
