Our Early Years team have been busy transforming our outdoor learning environment, creating exciting new spaces for our children to explore and enjoy!

This week, they have been working on a fantastic new performance area, where our little stars can sing, dance, act and let their imaginations run wild! 🌟

We can't wait to see the wonderful performances over the coming weeks… and, of course, hear plenty of noise from our budding musicians! πŸ₯πŸŽΈπŸŽ΅

We were delighted to welcome M&M Theatrical Productions to Hammond Academy for an exciting performance of Treasure Island. The children were captivated from start to finish, enjoying the brilliant acting, high energy and wonderful atmosphere.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and enthusiastic participation throughout the show, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved. A huge thank you to M&M Theatrical Productions for bringing such great energy and adventure to our school!

Our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic time at the University of Hertfordshire Festival of Outdoor Education on Thursday! 🌿πŸ”₯

The children took part in a wide range of exciting outdoor activities, including pond dipping, fire lighting, orienteering and creating art using natural materials. It was wonderful to see them so engaged with nature, showing enthusiasm, teamwork and curiosity throughout the day.

We were incredibly proud of their excellent behaviour and positive attitude, and we are already looking forward to more outdoor learning opportunities during Activities Week and the upcoming Isle of Wight trip! 🌳✨

What an amazing day we had celebrating Sir David Attenborough turning 100! πŸ¦πŸ’πŸ¦“
Thank you to everyone who took part in our non-uniform day and donated towards Whipsnade Zoo. We loved seeing all the fantastic animal costumes across the school!
A huge well done to the winners of our dress-up competition:
🐾 Upper KS2 – Sophie (Elm Class)
🐾 Lower KS2 – George (Cedar Class)
🐾 KS1 – Felicity (Acer Class)
🐾 EYFS – Lucianna (Cherry Class)
Together, we raised an incredible Β£122.55 for the zoo. Mrs Mullery recently visited Whipsnade Zoo to hand over the donation, and the team asked her to pass on a huge thank you to all of our families for your support and generosity.
Thank you for helping make it such a lovely and memorable day! πŸŒΏπŸ¦’

A huge congratulations to members of Olive class, who visited University of Northampton this week to compete in the semi-final of a Taskmaster competition.

The girls worked brilliantly together, showing fantastic teamwork, creativity and determination throughout the event, and achieved an amazing 3rd place!

We are incredibly proud of their achievement, especially as they were selected after competing against schools from across the country. Well done girls! πŸ‘β
