Simone Seymour`s Childminding Childminder registered from Ofsted. The children i care for are extremely important to me and so is there safety. I run my setting in a relaxed happy atmosphere.

Little walk around our local community today. First to the park, then to Hebburn hub to visit the library. The children enjoyed collecting leaves, playing in the play park, reading a story in the park and then more stories in the library. Singing songs and doing some art work. 🪾🍁

Today it's been mostly freeplay. Building using magnetic blocks and tiles, balancing skills with the squirrel, fine motor skill & colour recognition with the hedgehog and pegs. Aswell as singing songs, story time and playing together as lovely friends.

Being a childminder in a 1-3 year-old classroom is basically just saying…

“Feet on the floor.”
“Gentle hands.”
“We don’t eat that.”
“Please don’t lick your friend.”
“Where did you find that?!”
“Walking feet!”
“Not in your mouth.”
“Who pooped?” 😅

…approximately 847 times before lunch.

But somewhere between the nappies, snack crumbs, tiny tantrums, and chasing toddlers in 12 different directions… there are sleepy cuddles, belly laughs, first words, new skills, and little arms reaching for you because YOU are their safe person. 🥹❤️

Being a ones teacher is exhausting, messy, loud, and absolutely not “just playing with babies all day.”

And somehow, I wouldn’t trade my tiny chaotic coworkers for anything. 😂❤️
