Huge congratulations and well done to the amazing Jasmine Udofot who passed today FIRST ATTEMPT & only 1 driver fault! Even more amazing as her original test was cancelled by DVSA (through understandable reasons), but they could only offer a replacement whilst I was in France 🙈 so being the trouper that she is, she went with her mam in a private car and still smashed the 10.04 today. In the words of the examiner, almost a perfect drive Barr 1 little fault right at the start!
So proud of you and the best of luck in your next chapter lovely lady. Take a bow, well and well done! Xx

Proud Momma Moment!
Huge well done to Finlay Holt (my youngest son!) who smashed the 8am out of the park today at *** THE FIRST ATTEMPT*** and ZERO FAULTS!!!
A “super drive” in the words of the examiner and I couldn’t be more proud!
Well done son and safe driving!
Now….. let’s get car shopping and knock three hours travelling off your work day!!

Huge congratulations and very well done to Carly Shone for smashing the 11.01 today in Sunderland with compliments on a lovey drive from the examiner.
Even more impressive as we had just witnessed an unpleasant incident outside the test centre only moment before.
Keeping a cool head after that took some doing and I couldn’t be more proud.

After 17 years of instructing, you would think I had seen it all. Some pupils struggle, some don’t. Some don’t need much help at all, others make you pull on every resource you never knew you never had… over and over and over again. Some creep into your thoughts at 3am as you suddenly have a brainwave of how else to explain clutch control, planning ahead or spiral roundabouts. They all pass sooner or later so long as they don’t quit.
But this one lady has struggled more than any pupil I have ever had. Her culture, background and life experience were all against her ever being an independent driver. And no matter how hard we tried, I questioned whether she would ever get there. But she refused to quit, and she refused to let me quit (and I wanted to on many, many occasions!).
Today, after THREE AND A HALF YEARS of lessons…. She finally reached her goal and PASSED HER TEST. Its landmark days like today and seeing someone like her achieve her goal that keep me going.
Well done to this lovely lady whom I have come to admire so much, and I don’t mind saying this, but for once, well done to me and TopGun Driving School too!
