Early years children had a very exciting day when they found some hedgehogs wandering around in the secret garden. On closer inspection we realised they were hoglets and shouldn’t be out in the middle of the day. After advice, we rescued them and they are now being looked after at hedgehog hospital. Hopefully they are well enough to be released back into our garden soon.

We have been learning about being a good steward in RE and looking after God's wonderful world and creatures. We were so impressed with how respectful the children were.

🍂 Spooky Stories in Wraparound! 🍂

Continuing our autumn adventures, the children in Wraparound have been getting creative by making their very own spooky puppets!

Once their puppets were ready, the children let their imaginations run wild, creating their own spooky storylines before putting on a fantastic puppet show for everyone to enjoy!

It’s been lovely to see their creativity, imagination and confidence shine as they worked together to bring their spooky characters to life.

What a wonderfully spooky way to continue our autumn fun!

This week in Doodle Club, our imaginations ran wild!

The children had a fantastic time designing their own weird, wonderful and completely impossible inventions!
From homework-eating robots 🤖 and flying schoolbags 🎒 to time-freezing watches ⌚ and magical umbrellas ☂️, there were lots of creative ideas!

The children drew their inventions and added labels explaining what each part did.

We loved seeing their amazing ideas, creativity and imagination come to life!

Today, our Love in Action group visited the Dhammakaya Meditation Centre of Newcastle to spread a little kindness within our local community.

Our children have been embracing their roles within school and were keen to put their values into action by showing kindness and appreciation to others. They created special kindness cards for the Buddhist monks and were so excited to deliver them in person today!

We are so proud of our children for thinking of others and showing how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference. 🌟

For our final session of Cooking and Secret Garden Club, we came together to make delicious pizzas over the fire. Using pitta breads, tomato purée and cheese, everyone carefully prepared their pizzas before placing them onto the fire to cook. We then enjoyed eating our tasty creations together around the warmth of the fire. There was also time to explore the Secret Garden and enjoy our surroundings. It was a lovely way to end our final session, filled with cooking, exploring and happy memories!

⛪ Join us for Sunday Mass! ⛪

St Aloysius Parish warmly invites children from Reception to Year 6 to take part in the 11am Sunday Mass each week.

During the Liturgy of the Word, the Gospel is shared at a level that children can understand and enjoy. Children are encouraged to get involved through discussions, prayer and songs, helping them to develop their faith in a welcoming and engaging way.

Our aim is to make children’s experience of Church meaningful, joyful and accessible, while helping them feel part of our wider parish community.
We would love to welcome our school families and children.
