A big thank you to Cattows Farm for allowing us a visit to their pumpkin field to see how they grow. The children then all chose a pumpkin to take home 🎃

Are you joining in with this year’s scarecrow festival? The more the merrier 😊 The festival helps to raise funds for the community groups in the village, including us! We have recently purchased a new light table and resources to go with it, plus a brand new mud kitchen is on its way to us too, we thank the scarecrow festival very much for their kind and generous donations 😍

Then join us for a chat at the Community Coffee Morning at David Taylor Memorial Hall on Saturday 29th March between 10am and Midday. Heather Craft Club, and Ibstock Historical Society will also be there. Various stall and refreshments.

Everyone is welcome at Heather St. John’s FC tonight for their celebration of their volunteers! Plenty of space for the children to run around and let off some steam whilst you enjoy a nice drink, hopefully in the sun! ☀️

Don’t forgot, tonight is our Heather Volunterrs Thank You evening!! 💙

We've been asked if this is an event just for the volunteers at our club.... The answer is no! Everyone is welcome.

The event is to highlight our amazing club and the hard work that goes into all that we do, from the coaching staff, to the maintenance team, to the stewards, the committees, the secretaries, the welfare officers, the club house staff and everyone in between.

We all have day jobs, we all have families and other commitments throughout our lives, but we do it because we love what we do and the impact it has on our community.

So this one is a thank you to each and everyone of us and we would love to share that with you all!

We would like to say thank you to British Gypsum for donating us some pumpkins for the children to paint and take home 🎃

Today we took some items over to The Heather Hut and the children took it in turns to put them in. We spoke about how we could be helping others by putting the food there.

Do you live in Heather? Are you taking part in the annual scarecrow festival this year? The more entries there is, the better the festival will be!
We also benefit directly from this as monies raised from the festival are shared out between the community groups in the village.
