Another half term passed with lots of fun and laughter! The babies have explored the Arctic with messy trays of shaving cream, Pom Pom counting, small world and painting trays! We introduced Valentines Day and all the different loves we feel, learnt about the Lunar festival in which the biggies made Chinese light lanterns and made lots of mess for pancake day! ☺️
We’ve been watching the spring flowers blossom and grow on our school run and this has led to lots of lovely conversations about the natural world and seasons. I love seeing the connections that little minds make! 🥰
We’ve returned to our weekly playgroup and also started a new music class which are so brilliant for helping the babies learn key social skills and giving them confidence.
As always we have spent lots of time outside and the youngest babies are really amazing me every day in their physical development and risk taking. It’s so lovely to watch!

Now for some spring sunshine and looking forward to Easter 🐣 🌼 🪺 💐

A lovely December full of exploring all things Christmas! The children have loved our tree - taking ownership over what ornaments go where and taking off the bells to ”hear Santa” ☺️ The babies have particularly loved various treasure baskets based on some festive favourite books and Miss 2 has a new interest in trains which has led to lots of Polar express play!
All through the month there was various messy opportunities for the little ones to create some keepsakes and at the end of term we celebrated with a lovely Christmas party and they took home their beautiful efforts.
With a two week break over Christmas it’s time to say a HUGE thank you to my parents and families that have a special place in our family. It’s been an amazing year and I’m forever grateful that you continue to trust me with your little ones. 🥰 Merry Christmas!! 🎅🏻🎁🎄

We’ve had an amazing six weeks starting off with an enlarged tribe over half term which saw us get spooky in the garden with our potion tray, create salt art cobwebs, practise our pumpkin phonics and enjoy various sensory trays (chocolate flies in coconut spider web being my favourite courtesy of Spiderella!)The newest little ones have continued to settle brilliantly and are truly part of the tribe now with the older ones forging wonderful relationships.
We also introduced the concept of fireworks to the babies, helping them strengthen their leg muscles and finger muscles ripping the tissue paper and stretching up to make patterns on the contact paper. Miss 2 did a fabulous job tracing the lines and matching the colours although her favourite activity was threading pipecleaners into a box…wonderful concentration and she was so proud of her beautiful creation. 🥰
We love nursery rhymes and singing all the time but as it was Nursery Rhyme week we specifically looked at some of our favourites - twinkle, twinkle, Incy Wincy and wheels on the bus.
As always so many giggles, cuddles and snuggles and taking time to enjoy the little moments that make every day special.
Now, let’s get ready for the most exciting time of the year…..🎅🏻🎄⛄️❄️🥧☺️☺️

A long gap between updates due to 1/ lots of fun over the Summer holidays and 2/ lots of changes to our tribe. We said goodbye to our beautiful Mr 2 (who turned 3 over the Summer). We all miss him but are so proud of the cheeky little boy who we know will continue to melt hearts. The sadness of saying goodbye was abated by the exciting knowledge we were lucky enough to be welcoming 2 new babies in September!! Baby B and Baby L had some wonderful settling in sessions over the Summer and have made firm friends already 🥰
It was also time for Miss 4 and my own “baby” to start school so this half term has seen us concentrate on learning new routines and deepening our friendships and attachments all through the beauty of Autumn and the changes it brings.
We have enjoyed the colours changing, puddles that have formed, exploring Autumn treasures such as conkers and more recently pumpkins. We have snuggled with books and story baskets, made music, explored with our hands and feet to explore sensory bases and cuddled - a lot!! 🥰
We have also celebrated Miss 1 turning 2 and are now looking forward to all things spooky… 👻 🦇 🧙‍♀️ 🎃

A fantastic half term began with continuing our celebrations of the jubilee, creating nature crowns and exploring the colours red, white and blue. Miss 4 has been working on recognising SATPIN and working on her fine motor control using her favourite medium - flowers! 💐 🌸 We have all been enjoying the outdoors, taking turns to look after our garden, watering, digging in our strawberry patch and visiting the mud kitchen at Wakehurst - an apt way to celebrate International Mud day! Miss 1 and Mr 2 have been particularly enjoying painting and have made some beautiful creations - on ice, with ice, with watercolours, with balls and on canvas...plenty of of ways to explore!
Miss 1 and Miss 4 have been lucky enough to have some lovely days out to Chessington and Drusillas and have been enthralled by the animals and sea life they have seen. We have also had sports Days for Miss 6 and 4 and it’s been lovely to watch and support our friends.
In the recent hot weather we have been lucky enough to have 2 paddling pools in our shady garden set up - one for babies and one for the biggies. The babies have loved filling theirs up with balls which has lead to great ways of introducing counting, colours and turn taking 🥰
Looking forward to the holidays and watching our newest arrivals transform.....🐛🦋🦋🦋

A long time between updates can only mean one thing...too much fun!! After our family holiday over Easter this half term has seen two new beautiful babies join our little gang 🥰
Mr 2.5 has taken a keen interest in pirates and building “mega” structures, We’ve spent lots of time outside in the sunshine developing core muscles climbing and jumping and observing the seasonal changes in the garden. All of the little ones have enjoyed helping in the garden (especially watering! 😂) and are watching their growing sunflowers with awe. As always, all ages have loved the various messy plays - watermelon, whipped cream and chocolate mouse have all made an appearance over the last few weeks!
The best part of the job...watching strong friendships develop and hearing the giggles! (Oh and the cuddles!🤗😍)

A lovely few weeks before a covid enforced break...😢
A delivery brought a big box which was loved by the children of all ages - posting our phonics pebbles through holes and playing hide and seek in the “cave”were two favourite activities! Pancake day was enjoyed with a sensory tray as well as actual yummy pancakes. Mr 2 in particular loved squeezing the lemons and we all made marks in the flour. Miss 3 and Mr 2 had lots of fun building tall towers..a great gross motor skill activity as well as counting and measuring! There was lots of sun in the sun with park trips and garden play and as always we took great pleasure in just being with each other. I’m very much looking forward to seeing their little faces back this week!! ☺️🥰

A great few weeks looking at the celebrations of Australia Day, Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day, plus enjoying learning more about the children’s new interests of Hedgehogs and worms! We’ve been loving the sunshine with some outside art and water play as well as celebrating Baby L’s 1st birthday and welcoming new Baby J 🥰

A delightful start to the New Year settling back the children who I missed very much! 🥰 As well as lots of cuddles and snuggles and conversations about our Christmases the older children enjoyed a smashing snowman game - finding the correct phonic sound and smashing the snowmen (meringue nests) while the younger children loved exploring cranberry soup in the sunshine..squishing,mashing, looking at the seeds and discovering whether cranberries sink or float!
We also celebrated National spaghetti day and National Penguin awareness day with some sensory play which children of all ages loved. We’ve followed the children’s interests of cars and dinosaurs as well as learning about a new topic of interest - the Arctic! Miss 1 is now well and truly toddling so we’ve had also lots of fun exploring different sensory bases on our feet. A lovely few weeks ☺️❤️

A wonderful December that raced by (hence the late update ☺️). We enjoyed dinos in snow foam and ice skating for Dino loving Mr 3, the babies have loved some sensory trays with the Christmas pudding a firm favourite and our Winter themed shelf has provided some lovely imaginative play for all ages. Mr 2 is beginning to take a special interest in mark making and very much enjoyed using the watercolours on his card to reveal a secret Christmas message. He also particularly loved scoop the p**p - brilliant for fine motor skills but also counting! Miss 1 and baby L enjoyed That’s not my Santa Pom Pom pushing (encouraging Miss 1 to stand up by herself) and creating his soft beard. The older children wound down with some cookie baking and decorating and designing their own wrapping paper.
A week of rest now and I can’t wait to see all my little ones back in Jan 🥰🥰
Merry Christmas!

A triple week update which has seen us celebrate nursery rhyme week with some Incy Wincy play both inside and out, searching and counting twinkle twinkle stars and gluing and painting Baa baa black sheep! Inspired by firework night we created our own light den which the babies especially loved.
We’ve had some wonderful sunny days and enjoyed mammoth play sessions in our local parks and National trust places we’re lucky to have on our doorstep. To see Mr 2 and Miss 3 play outside is such a joy at the moment, watching and listening to their vocabulary develop, their gross motor skills strengthen and improve and their imaginations take flight.
We also spoke about Children in Need and Miss 3 and Miss 5 had a number and phonics activity respectively based on Pudsey.
Two main interests at the moment are shops and building towers. So we’ve had lots of shop based activities role play and learning and lots and lots of different mediums for building towers - magnetic tiles are definitely a favourite. Child led play is ❤️

A very enjoyable and busy couple of weeks looking at the celebrations of Halloween, firework night and Diwali. Half term was Halloween dominated and the children loved the potion mixing tray, scooping and pouring and coming up with ingenious recipes to write down, making pictures with string and glue and although aimed at the babies it was Miss 5 and Mr 7 that had the most fun with the spaghetti monsters! The older ones also enjoyed practising their number bonds with a pumpkin, hammer and nails. Once done they turned it into a geo board using elastic bands.
Miss 3, Mr 2 and baby S have enjoyed some gorgeous weather last week and were lucky enough to create some fabulous process art in the garden in honour of Fireworks night. We’ve also really been enjoying the nights drawing in earlier and snuggling down with lots of books and blankets...got to love cosy! ☺️
