Our Wednesday castle adventure 🏰🐻🌊☀️

A day of running free, rockpooling, exploring and lots and lots of play 🤎

We watched the clouds slowly roll in over the castle, talked about the changing weather and what we could see happening in the sky ☁️ We explored the rockpools, searching for little signs of sea life and noticing all the different shells, rocks and textures along the shore 🐚🦀🌊

There was climbing, balancing, investigating, imagination and plenty of space to just run and be free. We stopped for a picnic on the beach, watched the sea and took in everything going on around us 🧺☀️

🏰🐉 Castles, dragons & the most magical day at Pendennis Castle! 🐉🏰

We made our very own dragon wings and flew around the castle, climbed right to the top of the lookout tower and kept watch for enemy ships 👀⛵️. We even fired the cannons and explored the beautiful castle grounds!

We watched a fantastic puppet show before creating our very own, using our imaginations to bring our own castle stories to life 🎭🏰

And of course, we joined in with the Summer of Fun games, which made the day even more special! ☀️

A day full of history, adventure, role play, teamwork and lots of awe and wonder — What a magical Kernow Cubs adventure! 🐉🏰✨

After a busy morning at the beach, we headed off into the woods for a little afternoon adventure.

We searched high and low for woodland treasures, stumbled across some very curious-looking cows 🐄, and discovered that fallen trees make the most wonderful drums! 🥁🍂

We stopped beneath the trees for a story, listened to the sounds of the woodland around us, and finished our adventure with a cosy afternoon picnic together.

So grateful that we can do things like this whenever we choose ❤️

A busy Wednesday at Kernow Cubs 🌈✨

This week we’ve been learning all about colours through lots of hands-on, child-led play. We headed out on a colour hunt, searching for different colours around us and talking about what we could see!

Back at the setting, we got creative with our giant rocket painting 🚀🎨 and enjoyed lots of open-ended play, exploring, creating and working together. A lovely Wednesday 🌹🌼🌺🌷

🌈 Kicking off our Colours Week with the perfect place to spot a whole rainbow of colours!

We headed to the zoo to see how many different colours, shapes and sizes we could spot, from the animals and their markings to all the little details around us.

Then we wandered over to the gardens for our very own colour hunt, spotting bright flowers, plants and all the beautiful colours nature had to offer

We finished our adventure with a picnic by the river — the perfect way to start our colourful week! 💛🌈

The Lost Gardens of Heligan 🌼🌷🌹🌺🌸🪻

As part of our Cornwall My Home adventures, we spent the day exploring the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

We wandered through the gardens, followed woodland paths, discovered hidden corners and stopped to investigate all the wonderful things we found along the way. We spotted giant plants, beautiful flowers, wildlife and lots of little treasures tucked away around the gardens.

Another beautiful day exploring our very own corner of Cornwall. 💚

Wednesday was a little bit of Cornish magic ✨🌊

We headed off to the beach on a sea treasure hunt, paddling in the water, exploring the shoreline and searching for the prettiest shells and treasures hidden amongst the sand. 🐚

We stopped for a picnic overlooking the Mount before settling down to hear the famous Cornish tale of Cormoran the Giant.

Back at Kernow Cubs, we turned our favourite finds into something to treasure forever, creating our very own sea treasure keepsakes using the shells we discovered that morning. 🤍🐚

A little bit of everything Cornwall has to offer yesterday 🌊☀️

We started our morning at the beach, exploring the sand, sea and all the little treasures we could find, before heading to Paradise Park for an afternoon of birds, wildlife and train rides. 🐦🚂

Then, once everyone was safely home, we headed back out for a swim at Prussia Cove — because the Cornish sunshine was far too good to waste! 🌊💦

Another lovely day as part of our Cornwall, My Home topic, discovering, exploring and enjoying the places that make our home so special.

Beach mornings, wildlife adventures and a swim in the sea… a little bit of Kernow magic. ✨🌿
