What a day at Scale Smarter with Dotsquares and Zoho!

Our Founder & Director, Jeev Sahoo, took to the stage to talk about how Step8Up Academy started, why we believe people learn technology best by actually doing it, and what we've learned about helping businesses grow along the way.

Honestly, some of the best moments happened off stage too: the coffee-break chats, the swapped business cards, and the "we should catch up properly" conversations we're already following up on.

Thank you to the Dotsquares team for pulling together such a genuinely useful day, and to everyone who came over to say hello. We left with full notebooks and plenty to think about.

What should happen at the end of a training programme?

A certificate?

A congratulations email?

A final assessment?

Those things have their place.

But at Step8Up, we want learners to leave with something more:

Evidence that they can actually use what they've learned.

That’s what the Big Pitch is about.

Our Full Stack Web Development, Project Management and Leadership & Management learners were given a stage and asked to put their development into practice.

Some presented solutions.

Some presented plans.

Some presented themselves.

But every person who stepped forward was demonstrating something bigger:

Capability.

And behind moments like these is a community of people making them possible.

A huge thank you to our judges and industry professionals who gave their time and challenged our learners.

A very special thank you to Sathana Senthil, whose dedication, warmth and expertise have had such an impact on the cohort. ❤️
