Our KS2 children have today performed their summer production "Gigglebox" for the parents and families. All the children enjoyed performing and were able to share their amazing singing and acting with the audience. It was great to see so many families joining us today.🎭

This morning we held a special celebration assembly for Rev Dave and Mrs Clark on their retirement. The children enjoyed sharing their wonderful singing from the different seasons and school concerts. They were also able to read their own poems and prayers that had been written for the occasion. It really has been special times working so closely with the Church and Rev Dave and Mrs Clark. We wish them well in their retirement.

On Tuesday some KS2 children joined members of St. Margaret’s Church to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the first full printed New Testament of the Bible being printed in English. To mark this occasion, we read aloud the whole of St Mark’s Gospel, taking it in turns to read sections. It was a lovely way to mark the event and the children read beautifully.

On Friday we held our annual Sports Day. It was perfect weather for the event and all the children supported each other throughout. Thank you to Mr B for organising the Sports afternoon and also some whole school team activities in the morning.🏆

Class 1 have enjoyed their visit to Chapel Gallery and the Dales Countryside Museum today. They all had a super day working on creative activities this morning and the history of toys in the Museum this afternoon. It was great to have a picnic lunch in the park and enjoy some time on the equipment. Thank you to all for an amazing day.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel our Sports Day tomorrow due to the high temperatures and safety considerations for the children taking part. We have planned to now hold Sports Day next Friday 3rd July in the afternoon. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Today, the Y6 pupils enjoyed a treat for their hard work during SATS. We ventured down to the ice cream shop and then onto the park. Everyone had a lovely afternoon.😀
