Dear Parents and Carers,

As we begin the journey through Lent next Wednesday and prepare for the joy of Easter, we are reaching out to ask for your support with a special initiative led by our Year 4 and Year 6 Chaplaincy Team.

This year, as part of our Caritas Ambassador Programme, we are organising an Easter Hamper Appeal to raise funds for our school food bank. Through this initiative, we aim to share Easter joy with those in need by providing Easter eggs and treats to families who may otherwise go without. In doing so, we are actively putting into practice key principles of Catholic Social Teaching, particularly Dignity for All People and Preference for the Poor and Vulnerable.

We kindly ask for donations of Easter eggs or other seasonal treats, which will be included in our hampers. If you are able to contribute, please send your donations into school by Tuesday 18th March. Additionally, if you or your workplace would be willing to support this appeal through a larger donation, sponsorship, or by spreading the word, we would be most grateful.

Your generosity will help ensure that more families can experience the joy and hope of Easter, knowing they are cared for by their community. Thank you for your kindness and support.

If you have any questions or can assist in any way, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Mrs Slade.

With thanks and blessings,
The Year 4 & Year 6 Chaplaincy Team

The School football team went against all schools in Hatfield for the annual 7 a-side tournament where we came out as the champions, winning 1-0 against Countess Anne. The children did a great job as they didn’t concede a single goal out of the 5 games they played! Participants were Justin, Leon, David A, David P, Lotanna, Charlie, Joseph, Mason B, Jojo and Ezra. This is the first time we have won this tournament since 2017 too!

At last! We won District Sports 2024!
🥳🥇🏆
Despite the heat, the SPH team did their very best, all of them being focused and determined. The amazing thing about all our competitors is the way they cheered each other on and cheering for other schools in heats we didn't participate in. We also had a great turnout of SPH staff helping out and cheering the team on.
However, all this wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the fantastic team who coached the children every lunch time; organised them into their events and even created their new snazzy kit! Big thanks to Mrs Field, Mrs Hale, Miss Waddell and Mr Syme. Their prize? Organising the whole event for next year! 😆

A little plea! Do any past pupils that were in Bugsy Malone have their silly string splurge gun at home somewhere? Our current year 6s need some for their version of Bugsy. If you can help, please speak to the year 6 teachers: Miss Goss and Miss Kell. Thank you!

Sneak peek at our brand-new entrance display, created by our yr4 and yr2 pupils, with just a bit of help by the talented , who tapped into their creativity and made this piece of art. We shall be installing it soon. Next time you come up to the office, have a look!

Eek! Who are those scary monsters?! Don't panic - it's just the fabulous running the Art Club and showing the children how to make a mask from one piece of cardboard without wasting any pieces! He is also in school, working with year 4 & 2 to create a permanent display in the school foyer. We can't wait to see the finished product! 🥳
