Anyone remember the annual Std 5 trip to Mushandike?

When I was in Std 3, in Mrs Du Plooy's class (in the classroom right next to headmaster's (Mr Ellis) office), we had a music session once a week, and everyone had their own little music groups. We had to put on a performance each week and the others would vote for the best. Me (Mike Wright) and Rob Hollands, a.k.a. "Chips & Peanuts", won practically every week! I played a 4-string "banjo" made out of a Caltex oil can, and Rob sang. We were GOOOOD!! :-) Happy times!! (I still play the guitar (and sing), and I'm sure Rob still sings!)

I was in Day House. The other houses were Logan, Winson and Winterton.

Hmmm... there used to be a whole lot of stuff about the classes (teachers, etc.) and the houses (Day, Logan, Winson and Winterton). All this seems to have disappeared! Pity - there were some interesting stories there!

Hatfield Junior School as it now looks, courtesy of Google! It looks like they've added a couple of extra buildings, one of which is right on top of the marble alleys... how COULD they!!
