🌟 A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Reception Pupils! 🌟
Today we were delighted to welcome our newest Reception children to Mulberry West St Leonards! 💜
The children spent their sessions exploring their new learning spaces and play areas, making new friends, and beginning to settle into school life. It has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces, curious minds, and growing confidence throughout the day.
Already, our newest pupils are demonstrating our POW values, showing kindness, sharing resources, cooperating with others, and embracing what Excellent Learning and Friendship is all about.
We are so proud of how well they have settled in on their very first day and look forward to watching them learn, grow, and flourish as part of our Mulberry family. 😊

Doves and Woodpeckers have had a fantastic start to the new term, settling back into the classroom with smiles and excitement. The children enjoyed exploring the tuff trays, searching for minibeasts, trying out goggles, sharing their summer adventures with friends, and spending some lovely time reading together.
It has been wonderful to see everyone so engaged, curious and happy to be back. We are looking forward to an exciting term ahead! 🐞📚😊

A deeply proud and historic moment for Mulberry West St Leonards Primary! 🇬🇧🇫🇷
This week, our school community experienced a truly extraordinary honour. We were deeply humbled to be the only primary school in the UK invited to the historic unveiling of the Bayeux Tapestry at the British Museum. 🏛️✨
It was a privilege beyond words to have our pupils represent not just St Leonards and Hastings, but East Sussex and primary education nationally, at an event attended by The King, The Queen, French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Andy Burnham, and our local MP Helena Dollimore! Watching our young ambassadors manage such a monumental occasion with respect, curiosity, and flawless composure was an emotional moment of profound pride.
The history making didn’t stop at the unveiling. Our phenomenal pupils also:
🎙️ Interviewed live, twice to the nation on BBC Radio 4 by Nick Robinson! They handled their live broadcast interviews with exceptional confidence, eloquence, and poise: see link in the comments below
🏛️ Received a exclusive, VIP access all areas tour of the entire museum the following morning, exploring the exhibits in quiet reflection before the public doors were opened.
This is a life changing experience that will shape these children for years to come. They have shown the world the incredible potential within our school. We are immensely proud of them all! 💙🌟

History isn't just something we read about in books; sometimes, we get to be part of it. ✨

We are incredibly honoured to share that Mulberry West St Leonards was the only primary school in the entire UK invited to join The King, The Queen, President Macron, the Prime Minister and our local MP, Helena Dollimore at the British Museum this week for the historic unveiling of the Bayeux Tapestry.
Seeing our pupils stand on the national stage, conversing confidently with Royalty and world leaders, is a moment that goes to the very heart of what we do- confidence and character though relationships and our POW values. We believe education is about opening doors to extraordinary opportunities. It’s about showing every single child that there is no ceiling to what they can achieve, and that they absolutely belong in the room where history is made.

We are delighted to welcome Accent Catering to the MWSLP family! 🌟
Last year, we asked our children for their thoughts about their lunchtime experience, and we have worked hard to turn their ideas and suggestions into reality.
We are pleased to share that all of our school lunches are now cooked from scratch on-site each day, providing fresh, delicious meals for our pupils. 🥗🍲
Alongside the daily main meal options, children can also enjoy helping themselves to a fresh salad bar, available every day, giving them even more choice and encouraging healthy eating habits.
