Time Travel Theatre 2 was a huge success yesterday! Thanks so much to our Father/Daughter presenting team who brought artefacts and a presentation about their wonderful ancestor Sandy, who flew a Whitley Bomber in WW2. Students were able to inspect WW2 medals and try on a real RAF Pilots Jacket. ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿปโ€โœˆ๏ธ

Yesterday, a group of our year 9 students enjoyed a trip to the Heugh Battery Museum to further their knowledge on the First and Second World Wars.

We had a lovely tour from Dennis and Martin, two of the museumโ€™s volunteers, where we learned about various experiences from the bombardment and the lives of soldiers in the trenches, as well as their families back home. We had the amazing opportunity to hold various artefacts - and even had a good laugh with some marching training!

Weโ€™d like to thank the volunteers for being so insightful and keeping us well looked after, as well as all the students for being so well behaved and engaged throughout the day, with all of them asking plenty of considered questions. You were all stars and showed the very best of High Tunstall! Diane, the manager at the Heugh told us how incredibly impressed she was with you all, as were we! ๐ŸŒŸ
