It's the last day of our international summer school today after four wonderful weeks. Students will say goodbye to their new friends from all around the world and to our team of brilliant staff members who make the summer school what it is. Our junior students had an exhilarating time playing pickleball in the sports hall this week with some great shots being made. Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It's played on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified net. Players use solid paddles to hit a plastic ball over the net.

England's Lionesses booked their place in the Women's Euro 2025 Final this week against Spain and we've seen some impressive sporting skills from our senior international students too in football and tennis. Harrow School has world-class sporting facilities and often hosts international sports teams for training and practice sessions. In 2024 we hosted the NFL's New England Patriots ahead of their game at Wembley Stadium, in 2023 the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and in 2022 New Zealand's All Blacks as well as the NFL's Denver Broncos, amongst others. Students get a chance to play a wide variety of sports on their course.

Harrow School is set in a leafy 300-acre estate with views over Central London and the Wembley Stadium arch. Many buildings are hundreds of years old and packed full of history and stories. A newer edition is a bronze sculpture called 'The Eternal Schoolboy' commissioned in 2021 as part of the School's 450th anniversary celebrations and in commemoration of George Williams. Our international students have had the chance to visit many historic buildings in the estate this week and are getting to know the layout of the School well.

Inflatables! Harrow School Short Courses offers serious fun as well as serious study to our international students. Our junior students certainly had a blast with the inflatables in the beautiful grounds of Harrow School.

Mealtimes. We're often asked about the food served at Harrow School Short Courses. Students eat most meals in Harrow School's dining hall with a delicious, balanced choice of food on offer catering for a range of dietary requirements and served up by the talented Harrow School catering team. It's also a great time to socialise and chat in English with fellow students and staff between lessons and activities.

Sportsfest is one of our most popular activities at Harrow School Short Courses involving lots of fun outside with water and more in the grounds of Harrow School. The students burnt off lots of energy and had a fantastic time!
