Rise College

At Rise College, we held an art therapy session using clay focused on refugee awareness and cultural identity.

Learners explored themes of home, migration, and belonging through creative expression. The activity provided a calm space to reflect, share perspectives, and express emotions in a meaningful way.

Each piece of work reflected personal stories and cultural understanding, helping to build empathy, inclusion, and respect for diverse experiences.

Our learners took part in a drugs and alcohol awareness session, building knowledge, understanding risks, and learning how to make safer, informed choices.

It is all about empowering them with the right information to look after themselves and support others.

Rise College learners in coding are working on creative projects where they’re learning how to write code and build simple digital solutions. They’re also exploring music production, using digital tools to create beats and sounds. The sessions are hands-on, engaging, and help them develop both technical and creative skills while working together and building confidence.

Through each lesson, they are building strong foundations in programming, developing logical thinking, and creating their own digital projects. It’s inspiring to see them explore new concepts, stay focused, and bring their ideas to life.

Preparing our learners with the skills they need for a digital future

Our learners had an incredible time during their equine therapy session, building confidence, developing trust, and connecting with the horses in such a calm and supportive environment. From gentle grooming to guided interaction, every moment was filled with growth, smiles, and meaningful progress.

Experiences like this go beyond the classroom, helping our learners develop emotional awareness, communication skills, and a real sense of achievement.
