The Year 3 children were lucky with the weather and had an excellent time at Gunnersbury Park and Museum! The children displayed the skills to survive the Stone Age. They experienced life as hunter-gatherers and early farmers. Gunnersbury Park was explored. They made shelters and discovered the importance of nature for human survival. There was a creative outdoor learning experience, where pupils discovered the types of tools and materials used by Stone Age people. They handled original and replica prehistoric artefacts from the museum collections. Outside in the park, they identified sources of food and fuel, built shelters, tried their hand at wattle and daub. They used a saddle quern to grind corn. 🌽 🏹 The children had an amazing day 🌟
