3. 🌟 A little shout-out for this brilliant after-school club! Perfect for keeping the kids entertained, active and social after school.

Just wanted to share a quick discount code for half term in case anyone is still sorting childcare or activities!

The code is CANNONPALS for 5% off.

Our children absolute love these camps! They do sports, crafts, football, dodgeball, dance, a disco, a dress-up day, different things every day... so there’s a bit of everything to keep them busy.

If you use the 5% and book with the full week discount, it works out to about £35 a day for 9 hours! Game changer honestly 😅 Plus they take tax-free childcare/vouchers too.

Here’s the link if anyone wants to check it out:

Every heartfelt message from a parent reminds me why I love what I do. Knowing that I have helped a child grow in confidence, curiosity or happiness is the greatest reward. I treasure each message and the trust behind it.

If we value writing, thinking and problem solving, then shouldn’t we practice it too 🙌

I am all for online learning, homework and educational apps but if exams and assessments are still completed with pencil and paper, shouldn't learning regularly involve the same approach?
It's no wonder we are seeing a decline in attention span and perseverance 😒

We pride ourselves in our teaching approach -
*Structured curriculum aligned worksheets
*Little and often
*Consistency
*Weekly routine
*regular assessments
*small groups

Messages like these remind me why I love what I do❤️
Teaching is more than sharing knowledge. It is about believing in every student's potential and helping them grow with confidence. Receiving heartfelt feedback like this makes every effort worthwhile and reinforces my passion for education.
Grateful to be part of my students' learning journeys 🙌

Nothing makes us happier than welcoming back former students. ❤️
With no shortage of tutors in Pinner and Northwood, we are always grateful when families return to us years later.
M is now in Year 9 and has recognised that GCSE preparation starts long before Year 11. Feeling a little overwhelmed by the volume of work ahead, she has chosen to start early, build confidence and stay on top of things.
We can’t wait to welcome her back into the classroom and help her achieve her goals!

Core maths skills and problem solving must go hand in hand.
I often see children who are incredibly confident with their addition, subtraction and times tables, yet struggle when those same skills need to be applied in a worded or real-life problem. Strong mathematical knowledge is important but true understanding comes from knowing how and when to use it.
That’s why, at our First Class Learning centres in Harrow, Pinner and Northwood, our programmes are carefully structured to develop both core maths fluency and problem-solving skills. By building a strong foundation alongside the ability to apply that knowledge, we help children become confident, capable mathematicians.

Our maths and English programmes are endorsed by schools being and used in after school clubs.

We are open for most part of the summer break.

Children learn best when learning is structured, consistent and manageable. A little and often approach allows knowledge to settle, build, and strengthen over time rather than being rushed and forgotten just as quickly.
Summer learning plays a vital role in this process. When children continue reading and practising during the summer break, they return to the new academic year feeling confident, prepared and ready to learn—not anxious or out of practice. Confidence at the start of a new year often sets the tone for the months ahead.
