Holy Week in the Christian Church
Easter Sunday is a day of immense celebration in the life of the Church, rejoicing in Christ's victory over death and our share in His resurrection. However, the church also leads us to reflect in a solemn way leading up to this joyous day by means of Lent and Holy Week.

St Dominic's Supports Ukraine
A week long College-wide effort enabled St Dominic’s to make its contribution to the emergency relief effort taking place across Europe at this time to support those refugees who have fled Ukraine.
Under the watchful eye of Cristina Bradescu and Assistant Principal, Naomi Ross, a van full of boxes left the College site at 4:00pm on Friday afternoon bound for Moldova, hopefully arriving early this week.
The Principal Andrew Parkin commented:
"Filling the van with all the items we have collected as a community was quite emotional, as I wondered where our items would end up, who would be on the receiving end of them and what a terrible situation the Ukrainians find themselves in. We have played a small part in supporting those who are suffering at this time and I am sure that those receiving our items will be grateful".
A HUGE THANK YOU to all our students, parents and staff who so kindly made donations.

Guests were welcomed by the Student Executive and James Goodrick-Green, Head Boy and Natasha Mitra, Head Girl said of the event ‘Our speakers for International Women’s Week educated, entertained and inspired students. Woodland Trust
On Friday 4th March our students were given the fantastic opportunity to plant willow, birch and oak tree saplings donated to us by the Woodland Trust. They managed managed to plant all 105 in the grounds of St Dominic’s! The experience was extremely therapeutic, and it was very rewarding to leave a legacy that will not only last beyond our time at the College but beyond our time on the planet!
Planting trees is one of the most beautiful and simple ways to offset the emissions of our increasingly carbon-intensive lifestyles.
We hope this is the start of a greater sense of appreciation of the natural beauty of the college as well as of many future conservation projects.
