Show position or location.

Examples:

* behind

Sentences:

* The book is on the table.
* The cat is under the chair.

6. Compound Prepositions

Made of more than one word.

* next to
* according to

Groups of words used as prepositions.

* in spite of
* in addition to
* on behalf of

Sentence:

* He succeeded in spite of difficulties.

8. Participial Prepositions

Words ending in -ing or -ed used as prepositions.

Examples:

* during
* concerning
* regarding

Sentences:

* We slept during the movie.
* Regarding your question, I will answer.

Prepositions are small in size …but they create BIG confusion! 😂😂
