πΆπ©Ίβ¨ This week at CK, the children have been busy learning through play and sharing lots of exciting adventures! β¨πΎ
Our little ones loved exploring vet surgery role play π©Ήπ where they enjoyed caring for pets, feeding them, and learning how to look after animals with kindness and care ππΎ
After an exciting trip to Hertfordshire Zoo π¦π¦, the children continued their learning by sharing their favourite memories with friends and taking part in animal themed activities ππΏ. They explored animal skin prints, talked about habitats, insects they spotted π, and recreated the dinosaur world using blocks and dinosaurs π¦π§±
πΆ Music and movement time was full of smiles as the children enjoyed a fun scarf dance session ππΊπ
Throughout the week, the children have also been building confidence and independence by practising sharing, turn taking, cooperative play, and strengthening their fine motor skills through everyday activities πβοΈπ

π¦πβ¨ This week at CK, the children have been busy learning, exploring, and creating! β¨ππ¦
The children loved learning about the life cycle of a butterfly, showing lots of curiosity and exploring how a tiny caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly π±ππ¦.
𧱠Construction play was a big hit this week! Children used blocks, trains, and even playdough as βcementβ to build houses, walls, and bridges ππ π, developing their imagination and problem-solving skills.
βοΈ They have also been busy strengthening their fine motor skills through cutting activities, exploring patterns and shapes, threading beads onto rods, and practising their counting skills π’β¨.
π To finish off the week, the children had great fun with the parachute, learning mathematical concepts such as under, over, on top, next to, and behind while playing games with Peppa Pig π·π.

The children loved growing their own wild flowers and grass π±πΈ, learning how to care for plants by watering them and watching them grow πΏπ§
There was lots of fun with water play π¦π to help cool down in the warm weather, along with a lovely outdoor picnic lunch π§Ίππ₯ͺ enjoyed together with friends in the sunshine βοΈπ

πβ¨π What a fantastic week at CK! πβ¨π
This week, the CK kids enjoyed celebrating Eid ul Adha πππ with lots of exciting activities, stories, dancing, and fun! The children created beautiful crescent moon and star crafts πβ and learned about the values of kindness, sharing, and helping others π€π.
β¨ Eid Mubarak to all our families celebrating! β¨π
βοΈ We also made the most of the mini heatwave with lots of water play fun π¦π, helping everyone stay cool while enjoying the sunshine ππ§.
π± The children planted cress seeds, explored farm animals in the tuff tray πππ, and talked about the vegetables that grow on farms π₯π½π
.
π’ Maths was lots of fun too! The children investigated heavy and light using weighing scales βοΈ and worked together to complete a giant number floor puzzle π§©π―.
πΊ They also enjoyed counting and matching flowers to their stems, building their number recognition and problem-solving skills πΈπΉπΌ.

The CK kids have been busy exploring, creating, and learning through lots of exciting activities ππ¨π
π The children loved exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk πΏπ° using 3D props and storytelling objects to bring the story to life! They built the Giantβs castle with 3D shapes π§±, counted beanstalk leaves π, and created their own story pictures π¨βοΈ
π The children also enjoyed a mini beast hunt ππ·οΈ and took part in a giant caterpillar colouring activity, learning about nature while building fine motor skills and teamwork πποΈ
π Maths fun included measuring caterpillars with rulers and tape measures, learning words like short and long π’π
π¦ We also explored road safety, helping children learn how to stay safe outdoors πΈπ
πΈ Outdoors, the children loved looking at birds π¦, planting flowers πΌ, exploring nature, and enjoying obstacle courses and ball games β½βοΈ

The childrenβs love for caterpillars and butterflies continued with lots of fun activities π They followed caterpillar patterns, matched shapes and colours to complete giant butterflies πΊπ΅π¨, and explored early maths through counting and number activities π’β¨
π Some children enjoyed observational drawings of mini beasts ππ·οΈπͺ² while others played a fun βPin the Spotsβ game on a giant ladybird in the garden πΏβ€οΈ
π¨ The children also created beautiful butterfly collages using zig zags, spirals, and wavy patterns γ°οΈπ while building their creativity and fine motor skills
βοΈπ§οΈ We explored different weather conditions too, using cotton balls, paint, and craft materials to learn new words like cloudy, rainy, and windy π¦οΈπ¨

𧱠Inspired by their interest in Lego, they created fun Lego prints and took part in a choo-choo train counting activity ππ’, developing problem solving and early maths skills
π The children continued their love for mini beasts, exploring sensory play with coloured rice, cornflour, shaving foam, and water π§ They enjoyed hiding, counting, and describing textures like slimy, sticky, cold, and shiny ππ·οΈπͺ²
π± They also explored growing cress seeds and enjoyed listening to the story The Hungry Caterpillar π¦π

The children made the most of the lovely weather with a trip to the park π³π where they ran, explored, and enjoyed playing together in the fresh air πβ½
They also had a fantastic time at the soft play centre π§Έπ climbing, sliding, and balancing while building their confidence and developing their physical skills πͺπ

π£πΈ Easter fun at CK! πΈπ£
The CK kids had an egg-citing week taking part in lots of Easter activities π₯β¨ They loved going on an Easter hunt π°π, making colourful cards ππ¨, and getting busy in the kitchen!
π« The children especially enjoyed making chocolate nests, exploring different ingredients, watching the chocolate melt from solid to liquid, and mixing everything together to create their tasty treats π£π
