DONT FORGET TO JOIN US FOR INTERNATIONAL DAY 2024!

The event is being organised by the Woodlands Diversity Group, with support from Friends of Woodlands. We are looking forward to celebrating our rich and wonderful cultures with pupils, parents, staff, and the entire Woodlands community, and also share some of the fantastic work that we have been doing involving diversity at school.

We want this celebration to be truly special and so we need your help! There are lots of ways that you can take part:

• Send your child to school in national/ cultural dress, and don’t forget to wear yours too!
• Help by volunteering on the day
• Provide cultural and international foods for sale. Please clearly label all ingredients (no nuts please)
• HAVE FUN!

We are looking for parents who can and sing and dance on the day or any other help you can give. Please contact Olivia on 07865 274091

Thank you to those that have donated prizes to our raffle! There is still time to donate. One of our amazing prizes is 2 tickets to Cirque du Soleil on Sunday 11th February 2024 1.30pm at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Join us on Wednesday 13th December for the school Christmas performance where you can buy tickets for a chance to win this amazing prize and many more!

Dear Parents and Carers,
Do you have some time to support the school with our fundraising events?
The Friends of Woodlands is a group of parents and staff, who give up
some of their time to raise funds for the school. We have regular meetings (virtual and in person) across the school year to discuss new and tried ideas to raise much needed funds and to plan and host events in line with the school’s calendar. Join us at our online Annual General Meeting to find out more.
In the last year we have supported International Day, Christmas and Easter events which in addition to raising vital funds to support the purchase of equipment such as a Trampoline, outdoor sensory garden spaces and the school ‘Pink Bus‘. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet and build a network of support with other parents, and see and experience the learning of your young person.
We would be delighted to welcome any support you could give, such as being on our volunteer list to help at events and to be part of our committee to help shape the future of our events.

The Friends of Woodlands are looking for donations for our raffle to help raise vital funds for the school. The raffle will take place in school after the performances. If you are able to donate any prizes please send them into school marked for the attention of the Friends of Woodlands Raffle by Wednesday 22nd November. Thank you in advance

***SAVE THE DATE***
Join the Friends of Woodlands in celebrating the wonderful class performances on Wednesday 13th December 2023. We will be selling refreshments and holding a raffle before and after the performances to help raise funds for the school. We will keep you updated with timings as the event draws closer.

BHM ASSEMBLY AND COFFEE MORNING CANCELLED
Unfortunately the performance that was due to take place for our Black History Month assembly tomorrow Thrusday 19th October has been cancelled. Therefore the assembly and coffee morning has been cancelled.
We will showcase the learning that has taken place throughout the month for BHM on Evidence for Learning and our social media page. Please watch this space for more information!
