It was a privilege to present at the Brent Headteachers Conference yesterday.
I’m thrilled to share some fantastic news: Mount Stewart Infant School has been selected by the DFE as an Early Years Stronger Practice Hub! We will be supporting schools in Brent, Harrow, Hammersmith and Fulham, Wandsworth, and Merton
Exciting times are ahead as we work together to strengthen early years education.

Today Year 3 became persuasive writers as they tackled a real problem - the chairs had been taken away! They are working hard writing to the headteacher to bring the chairs back ... let's hope their powerful words do the trick.

This half term in 3M, our English focus is persuasive writing!
To hook the children into their learning, we created a mystery in the classroom… the children’s chairs had disappeared! 😱
The children discovered that the chairs had been “stored away” by the Headteacher, and their mission was to persuade her to return them. The classroom was filled with passionate discussions, convincing arguments, and brilliant ideas as the children used their persuasive language skills to make their case.
We can’t wait to see the fantastic persuasive writing they produce over the coming weeks! 🌟
