🐌 Discovering snails! 🐌
🌀 We used loose parts to decorate spirals.
🌀 We made clay snails by rolling and curling the clay very carefully.
🌀We decorated the shells with sparkly gems.
🌀We found snails in our garden and cared for them all day.
🌀We found out what a snail needs by looking up snail facts.
🌀We read stories about snails.
🌀We looked closely at shell patterns and used pastels on black paper to create some amazing pieces of art!
Well done Discovery Learning!

Well done to our Year 4 pupils, who have been inspired by David Hockney and learning how to draw facial features in anticipation of next week's self portraits! Watch this space: there were some fantastic eyes sketched with use of light and shadow using soft and hard-leaded pencils.

A huge thank you to Mrs Keedy. who has been into school this week to share her knowledge and experience as an oral hygienist for our pupils in Year 4 and Discovery Learning.
In Year 4, pupils have been learning about our teeth and developed an understanding of how to look after them, especially thinking about sugars, what we eat/drink and how to clean correctly. Thank you Mrs Keedy!
