Our latest Radio Roulette winner was Miss Wilkinson, with the lucky number 6! 🍫✨
Miss Wilkinson won a delicious chocolate treat in recognition of all her hard work and dedication. She is one of the happiest people you'll ever meet, with an infectious laugh that brightens everyone's day.
We are incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team, and we're delighted to celebrate her and the positive impact she has on our school community.

🌿 Exciting developments are coming to Saltergate School! 🌿

Mr Smith is currently completing his NOCN Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification at Harewood House and we can't wait to see the impact this will have on our pupils' learning experiences.

Once qualified, "Ranger Smith" will be able to deliver regular Forest School sessions, bringing even more opportunities for outdoor learning, exploration and personal development across the school.

Forest School is much more than learning outdoors. It is a long-term educational approach that helps children to develop confidence, resilience, independence, creativity and a positive relationship with the natural world. Through supported risk-taking, learner-led activities and hands-on experiences, pupils can develop valuable life skills alongside their academic learning.

We're looking forward to sharing more updates as Ranger Smith progresses through his training and begins planning exciting new opportunities for our pupils.

Red Kite Learning Trust

On Friday, some of our children from Year 5 got the opportunity to take part in the Brownlee Mini Triathlon being held at the Harrogate Leisure and Wellbeing hub. The children had to complete a swim in the pool, two laps of a bike circuit and finally a run to the finish line. The children were incredible and we are super proud of them for never giving up, being resilient and supporting each other throughout the whole event. The children also received a free t-shirt, a goody bag with water and some snacks in and finally a wonderful medal to take home. What an experience for our children, well done to all those that took part.

Thank you to Active North Yorkshire Harrogate and The Brownlee Foundation for allowing our children the opportunity to take part in this fantastic event.

On Wednesday, lots of children from Year 6 including the girls football team took part in a photo shoot with Verity Frearson Estate Agents to celebrate the arrival of our wonderful new football goals, kindly paid for by Verity Frearson Estate Agents after the girls football success last year, where they made the National Finals for the first time.
After having their photo taken, the children got to christen the new goals by playing lots of competitive football games against each other, whist wearing our Saltergate Sports Jerseys. The children had a fantastic time and love the new goals.
This is another wonderful step in our schools sports journey, we really do love football at Saltergate!
