Oral Health is incredibly important across all of our nurseries. 😃

We strive to raise awareness of the importance of good oral health for children.
These early years for children are when routines are formed that are carried on through to adulthood. Therefore, nursery is a fantastic place to introduce a good oral health routine. 🙌

We actively promote high standards of oral health by encouraging healthy eating and good habits of personal and oral hygiene.

Oral health will be included in the curriculum and in any learning opportunities where it is appropriate.

Visits from a dentist, hygienist or someone who can talk about oral health will be arranged during the nursery year.

Oral health will feature as a theme at nursery prior to, during or after these visits. e.g. dental corner, stories, songs, poems, art etc.
Good oral hygiene will be encouraged at all times. 😁

The children at Hounslow Montessori had a fantastic time celebrating their sports day and Graduation 🎓

Sports activities help to boost confidence and self-esteem in all ages including young children. ⚽ All types of sports activities will help young children to develop a range of skills, from social to physical, which will help to increase their confidence in their abilities and their willingness to learn new skills. 🏅

Celebrating milestones and educational achievements helps give children a sense of accomplishment and pride. Teaching about graduation also helps children transition into kindergarten. Easing children into the transition to school is a huge benefit in their future learning experiences. 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

Our 'Book Club' is now open at Hanwell Montessori. 🎉

Children are encouraged to borrow/ exchange and share their favourite stories. 📚 They are also invited to write a review to share with others in our Review book. ✍

This week is 'National Doughnut week'. 🍩

It is a very special week where businesses including bakers, coffee shops, and offices take part and sell lots of delicious doughnuts to raise funds for The Children’s Trust. ❤

This week, at Hanwell Montessori, we will be making decorative doughnuts which will be on sale at the end of National Doughnut Week. 🙌 All money raised will be going to the charity for children with brain injury or neurodisability.

All donations are welcome, every penny matters. 💚 The donation box will be at the reception. Let's spread some sweetness. Thank you and have a lovely Doughnut week. 😋
