Books we are reading on repeat at the minute. We’ve practiced our fine motor skills pe***ng pants onto a washing line this morning.
Some like to just peg the pegs and not the pants, some liked to also peg themselves! And one little one just liked to put all the pants on - good practice in getting ready by himself!

One of the boys favourite books to read is dinosaurs love underpants - our coloured sand got delivered over the weekend so we decided together on green for this dinosaurs love underpants tray.
I didn’t take any other photos as forgot! We read the story together outside and as well as seeing how sand works when dry the boys added water using their spray bottles and saw how it changed once wet.

Painting on hanging hoola hoops. Great fun, especially when the wind blew!

Painting on a vertical, hanging surface naturally encourages children to reach across their body, extend their arms in different directions and use one hand across a wider space.
Crossing the midline like this is important for brain development (communication between both sides), reading and writing readiness, physical coordination and for both fine and gross motor skills.

Scooping eggs with spoons - such a simple activity but really engaging. The children named the colours, counted the eggs and looked at small, medium and large as well as practicing their motor skills and hand eye co ordination strengthening their muscles.
We’ve also decorated Easter bonnets peeling stickers to stick on.

Lots of egg play today.
Hanging, counting, matching, naming colours, looking at the patterns on some of them, seeing how fast they roll from different heights, sorting small medium and large etc and of course they ended up in their truck play transporting from one place to another.
