Move over, Picasso… we've got clay pot monsters to make 🧌🎨

Our Year 5 pupils had a brilliant morning at Lightcliffe Academy, getting hands-on in a clay workshop and sculpting some wonderful monsters ✨

The best part? Their masterpieces will be displayed at the Lightcliffe Academy Art Exhibition later in June 🌟

A lovely opportunity to get creative, all while building connections with our local secondary school 💙📚

We’re delighted that Halifax Labour MP, Kate Dearden MP for Halifax, visited St. Joseph's Pupil Parliament to share what life in Parliament is really like, answering some fantastic questions from our young leaders 💛💬

The discussion covered everything from politics and public service to the importance of representing your community and making your voice heard. 🙌 An inspiring afternoon and a brilliant opportunity to open our pupils' eyes to the world beyond the classroom 💙

One of our favourite memories from before half term 🇬🇧⏳

Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a fascinating trip to Eden Camp Modern History Museum, bringing their history learning to life in the best possible way.

Walking through wartime Britain, exploring original buildings and getting up close to historical artefacts gave pupils a real insight into life during World War II 🩵❤️

Sometimes the best learning happens when you can experience it for yourself ✨

At St. Joseph's, pupils benefit from professional dance and gymnastics coaching through Pennine Sports Partnership, giving them the opportunity to develop new skills, express themselves creatively and grow in confidence 🌟

Whether they're learning new routines or simply enjoying movement, every session encourages children to have a go, be themselves and have fun along the way 💃 🩵

Learning about life and bugs 🐛🩵

Reception and Year 1 are raising caterpillars, carefully observing them as they grow through all stages of life into beautiful butterflies 🦋 It’s important for our little ones to understand the life cycle and see it unfold before their eyes 👀

We are super excited to see how they get on ☺️

Making a great space even better ✨

With money raised from Isla’s bun sale, Year 6 were able to buy beanbags and rugs for their reading cupboard 📚 A huge well done to Isla, we couldn't have done this without her!

Supporting readers for life with wonderful spaces is what St. Joseph’s is all about 🥰🩵

Our After-School Football Club gives pupils the opportunity to compete in local tournaments, play against other schools and proudly represent St. Joseph's 💙
