Shown is a personalised metal display Poppy featuring the emblem of:
• The West Yorkshire Police
This is being gifted by a daughter to her Dad for Father’s Day, the Poppy is painted in the police colour blue and is a personal and unique way of remembering both service and sacrifice.
Did you know…
Between January 2020 and May 2024, seven West Yorkshire Police officers died while in service, which includes both on- and off-duty fatalities.

~ Liberation ~
It’s 14th June 1982 and those that served have fought hard to liberate a group of islands in the South Atlantic, the Union flag flies once more after the invasion by Argentina.
The Falklands War has come to an end but at a cost… 255 military and service personnel and 3 islanders have been killed in Britains now last known colonial war. It’s important we remember all those who gave their all, those who were scarred both physically and mentally and the families and friends and colleagues whose loved ones are forever on patrol.

This is decorated with the earth from Mt Longdon and is being gifted by someone for their father who fought there during the Falklands War.
Did you know…
As one of the bloodiest battles during the War; 23 British airborne soldiers, including Sgt. Ian McKay, who was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross were killed and over 40 wounded.
