Earth Day - Wednesday 22nd April 2026 🌍

Today we celebrated Purple Day at nursery, helping the children to learn about the importance of kindness, empathy, and inclusiveness. It is also a day to raise awareness of epilepsy, in a simple and age appropriate way.
In EYFS, we explain Purple Day by focusing on how everyone is different and that we should always be kind, helpful, and include everyone in our play. We encourage children to show empathy, be good friends, and support one another.

The children took part in a range of activities, exploring what it means to be a good friend, showing care for others, and celebrating what makes each of us unique. It was wonderful to see them demonstrating kindness through their words and actions, sharing, helping, and including everyone in their play.

We are so proud of how our children embraced these important values, creating a warm, caring, and inclusive environment for all. 💜

Today we celebrated Easter early before we break up for the Easter holidays and we had a wonderful time celebrating Easter with our friends! The children enjoyed taking part in fun activities, exploring Easter traditions, and going on a very exciting egg hunt. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and lovely moments shared together. 🐣🌼

We are hiring 2 Mid-Day Supervisors to start as soon as possible.
Hours are 11am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be given, including Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, Food Allergens and First Aid.

A DBS or the Update Service will also be required.

25 years ago, I left a banking career and opened The Kids Club ( before and after school and holiday club). I’ve looked after children who have now had their own children who have come to the nursery and Kids Club, always remembering their favourite meal, pasta soup and cheese. ( always had to be Heinz)
Today was our very last day for Kids Club and the doors are closing.
It’s been an emotional few days, saying our goodbyes to our wonderful children and their families but wow we’ve made some fantastic memories over the last 25 years.
