Great to see progress continuing at Gorwood Rise, Buckland Brewer, North Devon, where 24 new homes are now taking shape.
REBE Homes has appointed HadleyFRAME to deliver this modern residential development using its specialist light-gauge steel framing system and turnkey delivery approach.
Gould Singleton Architects has been appointed by HadleyFRAME as the delivery architect for the scheme, working closely with its specialist design team and construction system to develop and coordinate the architectural and technical information required for delivery.
Our role includes guiding the developing design through current regulatory requirements, coordinating the architectural package with the LGSF system and helping to ensure the completed scheme continues to reflect REBE Homes’ vision and project brief.
The use of light-gauge steel framing brings together precision design, off-site manufacture and an efficient, highly coordinated construction process. Gorwood Rise demonstrates how modern methods of construction can be successfully applied to the delivery of high-quality new homes.
Building on our long-standing relationship with HadleyFRAME, the delivery of projects using its specialist LGSF system has become an established area of expertise for Gould Singleton Architects. Our team works closely with HadleyFRAME to coordinate its construction system with the architectural design, technical requirements and current regulatory framework.
A major focus of REBE Homes’ brief has been energy performance, renewable technologies and reducing the future energy demands and running costs of the homes. REBE’s partnership with Octopus Energy underpins this ambition, with every home at Gorwood Rise backed by a 10-year Octopus Zero Bills guarantee—making it one of the first developments of its kind in North Devon—and creating homes that are modern not only in how they are constructed, but also in how they are powered and occupied.
The 24-home development will provide a varied range of properties for different household types, families and age groups, helping to broaden the local housing offer and support the long-term strength and sustainability of the Buckland Brewer community.
The scheme is a strong example of collaborative delivery between REBE Homes, HadleyFRAME and Gould Singleton Architects, bringing together the client’s vision, a specialist modern construction system and coordinated architectural and technical delivery.
