Anneka's House Childminding

Spring is finally springing, look at those gorgeous flowers! What a beautiful visit to the park we had this morning! We swung on swings, played on climbing frames and slides. Played catch with both frisbee and ball, climbed trees, fed ducks! Truly a wonderful morning!

We've been busy this week! Some beautiful tigers have been coloured and threaded, and stunning keyrings/zip pulls have been made too. 😍
There was also a VERY muddy visit to the farm where the children helped to muck out the pigs and donkeys!

Some beautiful art work created yesterday and an Italian Flag themed fruit platter too!

Yesterday we made pizzas (well our topic *is* Italy after all)! Today we've deviated from our topic and are visiting Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park . What a wonderful start to the week!

Ooblek play this afternoon. Great, sensory fun for kids of all ages. Even the 12 year olds are having a play (shhhh! Don't tell them I've told you)!
Bonus as it's taste-safe too.

Fun at Flip Out today! That slide is HUGE!

We heard it's national Shortbread day today so we're making shortbread biscuits!

Chocolate rice crispy cake making today. We've also made onion bhajis and 2 curries this morning. What a tasty day!

Delicious cake made today, great effort by the 5 and 7 year old if I do say so myself!

I can feel the concentration right now.... They're all working so hard!

When the kids ask to make a Gerrothorax who am I to deny them?! After raiding the recycling that's just what we did. I think they've done a fantastic job!!
