We have butterflies 🦋

Today the children were able to watch the butterflies emerge from the cocoons 1 at a time and we were lucky enough to catch it on camera to replay. This has sparked conversation between the children about the different patterned wings and colours we can see. They are beautifully red black and orange. After a little research we have worked out they are monarch butterflies. 🦋

🐛 We have some new friends at nursery 🦋

Our Toddlers are very excited to welcome some new caterpillars ! They have been busy giving them names , learning about the life cycle of a butterfly, reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and practising their counting .
We can’t wait to watch our caterpillars grow, form their chrysalises and eventually turn into beautiful butterflies 🦋

🌸🌼 A lovely Preschool community trip 💐🌷
Our preschool children had a wonderful time out in our local community today !
On our way to the library, we stopped to smell the beautiful community flowers .
We then visited our local frozen yogurt cafe, where we were able to extend our learning from last week exploring various fruits 🍉 🍊
The children were so excited to enjoy their own natural frozen yogurt, choosing fresh fruit toppings to create their own delicious treat ! 🍓

🍎🍉🍒fruit kebab fun 🍓🫐🥝
Today our preschool children had a wonderful time making their own healthy fruit kebabs!
They choose a variety of fruits and practiced their fine motor skills by threading them onto skewers.
As well as being lots of fun, this activity encouraged the children to talk about healthy eating , explore different tastes and textures and develop their independence.

This morning our babies and toddlers enjoyed a lovely trip to the post box as we posted some welcome letters for our new friends starting in September📮✉️

On the way, they loved watching the cars go by and pointing at everything they could see🚗🌲

To finish our adventure, we visited the park where the swings were definitely the favourite!🛝 We had lots of smiles and fun in the sunshine.🌞

What a wonderful day of baking 🧁
Today , the children had lots of fun making delicious lemon cakes ! They used a juicer to squeeze fresh lemon juice and carefully mixed all the ingredients together .
To finish, they decorated their cakes with beautiful yellow icing, ready to take them home and enjoy with their families .
Great baking skills ! 🍰

Healthy smiles in preschool ! 😁🪥
Our preschool children have been learning all about the importance of brushing our teeth as part of our healthy living activities . Every day, the children enjoy brushing their teeth together, helping them build healthy habits for the future .

Well done preschool ! 😀
