As many of you may have seen in the local news, Jude Hazard, a local Sunderland lad and his family have been facing a very difficult time. Jude is a student at St. Aidan's but started his school journey with us here at St. Cuthbert's and so holds a very special place in our hearts and will always be a part of our school family. We would very much like to support Jude and his family in any way that we can. Below you will see a link to a Go Fund Me page which is raising money to give Jude all the help and support that he deserves. All donations, no matter how big or small means so much, but even just sharing the link to raise awareness will show Jude and his family how much we care. Please keep Jude and his family in your thoughts and prayers, he's one of our own.

As we have come to the end of another busy and memorable school year, we want to say a huge thank you to all our parents, carers, and every member of our school family. Your support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year have meant so much to us. Working together is what makes our school such a special place, and we are truly grateful.

To all the children who are leaving us this year: we wish you the very best of luck in your new adventures. Year 6 have been absolutely fantastic — we are so proud of each and every one of them. We know they will go on to great things, and we will be cheering them on from afar. Remember you will always be a part of the St Cuthbert’s family.

To all our families, thank you once again for everything this year. We hope you have a safe, happy, and relaxing summer. Enjoy the sunshine, make lovely memories, and we look forward to welcoming you back in September, refreshed and ready to go again.

Have a wonderful summer everyone. ☀️

🌟 Year 6 Leavers' Mass and Assembly 🌟
This week, our Year 6 pupils came together for their final school Mass and Leavers' Assembly, marking the end of their time at St Cuthbert's and providing an opportunity to reflect on their many happy years with us.
The celebrations were filled with memories, laughter and a few tears as the children shared their experiences and said their farewells to staff, friends and the wider school community. It was a special occasion to recognise all they have achieved during their time at St Cuthbert's and to celebrate the wonderful young people they have become.
Year 6 have been a tremendous asset to our school. They have shown kindness, resilience, leadership and a strong commitment to our school values, setting an excellent example for younger pupils. Their positive contributions to school life will be greatly missed by both staff and students alike.
As they prepare for the next stage of their educational journey, we would like to thank them for everything they have brought to our school community. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and wish them every success and happiness in the future.
💙 Once a part of the St Cuthbert's family, always a part of the St Cuthbert's family. 💙
Good luck, Year 6 – we will miss you! 🎓🌟

🌟 A Fantastic Farewell Week for Year 6! 🌟
What an incredible week our Year 6 children have had as we celebrated their journey with us and wished them well for their next adventure.
Throughout the week, the children have enjoyed a range of special treats, including a fantastic magician who amazed everyone with his tricks, a delicious McDonald’s lunch, and a brilliant disco where they danced the afternoon away with their friends.
The students had a wonderful time, creating lasting memories and sharing plenty of laughter along the way. It has been a joy to see them celebrating together and reflecting on their time at school.
We are so proud of everything they have achieved and hope they look back on this week with fond memories for years to come. We wish all of our Year 6 leavers the very best of luck as they begin the next exciting chapter of their education.
🎉 Well done, Year 6 – we'll miss you all! 🎉💙💛

🌟 Year 6 Faith in Action Award 🌟
As part of their final week at school, our Year 6 pupils proudly achieved their Faith in Action Award. This award is the culmination of their hard work, dedication and commitment to living out their faith through service to others.
Throughout the year, the children have worked tirelessly to support local charities, take part in community projects and contribute to the life of our school and parish. Their efforts were also recognised during our whole-school Mass, where we celebrated their achievements and the positive impact they have made on those around them.
We are incredibly proud of the compassion, generosity and kindness our Year 6 pupils have shown. They have worked hard to support both the wider community and our school parish, demonstrating what it truly means to put faith into action.
Well done, Year 6 – your efforts have made a real difference, and you should be very proud of all you have achieved. 💙🙏⭐

Our Teddy Bear Picnic 🧸

In Nursery, we had the most beautiful day yesterday. We had good food, good weather, our much-loved soft toy from home and most of all each other.

We enjoyed it so much, and so did our soft toys - especially the story where they could join in with the teddy bear actions.
