Super proud of our Phonics Lead Mel Farrow-Browne and the amazing team at Humberston Park School for demonstrating what it means to be truly inclusive.
If you are interested in any of the specialist training and support around inclusive practices and adaptive teaching that Humberston Park could offer you or your school, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via our website https://www.humberstonpark.org.uk/ or [email protected].
Looking forward to connecting with you and working together to create inclusive environments for all children😀
Congratulations to Humberston Park School!
“Staff read to pupils regularly” at Humberston Park School and teach phonics with “precision”, adapting the programme “to support pupils who are nonverbal with reading when necessary”.
The school’s daily story time sessions and well equipped library mean that “pupils develop a love of reading” and “relish opportunities to explore reading through structured sensory play“.
Well done to the staff, pupils, and leadership team!

Our Strategic Lead for Training and Development at Humberston Park Nicole Doyle has really enjoyed the past couple of weeks delivering both internal and external workshops and training!
A particular highlight was working with the fantastic team at The Grimsby Institute at the University Centre, exploring inclusive practices and how these can make a real difference in Further Education settings.
Thank you to everyone who engaged so openly and shared their insights – it’s always inspiring to see such commitment to creating learning environments where every student can thrive. Huge thank you in particular to Ruth Steyert for organising the training.
We are looking forward to continuing these conversations and supporting inclusive approaches across education 😀
