๐ฑ A day of practical, hands-on learning! ๐ง๐
Today we started the day in the garden, turning over the soil in two planters and preparing them for a new season of planting. ๐ฟ
We then brought maths to life with a practical lesson using our allotments. We measured perimeter and area, planned how we could use the space for our next crops, and used our gardening project to practise addition, multiplication and division. It was a great way to see how maths has a real purpose in everyday life! ๐โโ๏ธโ
For English, we travelled back in time by reading newspaper articles from 1955 and comparing them with an article on the same subject written 71 years later. We explored the structure and key elements of newspaper articles, dissected the language used, and discussed how writing styles and reporting have changed over time. ๐ฐ๐
And, of course, we couldnโt finish the day without some baking! We made delicious apple crumble muffins โ combining practical skills, following instructions and a little creativity in the kitchen. ๐๐ง
Another day full of curiosity, real-world learning and plenty of hands-on experiences! ๐ฑโจ
