Story Explorers Where favourite books come to life through sensory play, music, and community. Boost early literacy, communication & confidence!

Based in Wirral, Story Explorers offers interactive storytelling sessions for children up to 6 & their grown-ups. Story Explorers (established in 2015) is a children’s group activity class for children aged 5 and under to explore well-known stories together, run by Claire Jackson, an MA-level trained actor and practitioner.

£6 per child with sibling discount £3 for 40 mins exploring. Through vari

ous methods including singing, sensory activities, baby signing and craft, the children learn through themed classes. The classes are specially created to help children to learn and develop educationally and socially through shared experience with a maximum of 15 children. Each week is themed around a well-known book such as The Gruffalo, We're Going On A Bear Hunt and The Tiger Who Came To Tea to name just a few. There's a world of possibilities in each book so, even if we revisit books, each session will be different! Sessions will be held locally on the Wirral but also available for parties / celebrations. GET READY FOR OUR NEW TERM!

We start our new term with Elmer (which is not included in the block bookings) as the class will be 2017 prices and only £5! Sibling discount still applies.

Spread the word that Story Explorers will be back on Thursday 10th September in Pensby and Friday 11th September at Heswall Library. We shall be running for 7 weeks which takes us to half term.

This week at Story Explorers, we are putting on our bear ears, heading off to Bee School, and discovering the magical world of bees!

What’s in store for your little ones?
* Bee School & Honey Tasting: Discover how bees make delicious honey (and enjoy a taste test!).
* Get Wiggling: Show off your best “waggle bum dance” to learn how bees communicate.
* Bubbles & Dancing: End the session with our favorite bubble-filled dance party!

Calling all parents, grandparents, and carers! Keep the summer magic alive this break with a dragon-sized adventure at Story Explorers! 🏵️📙⭐

Our special holiday sessions are designed specifically for children aged 6 and under, bringing books to life through immersive, play-based learning rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

This week, we are diving into Julia Donaldson’s beloved Zog:

🎨 Crafting: Making our very own shiny golden star badges to wear and keep
✨ Active Play: Practicing our highest dragon flying and loudest roars
🧸 Roleplay & Care:Going on a gentle hero mission to save a cuddly toy
🫧 Celebration: Ending our session with interactive bubbles and dancing!

Our small group size ensures a gentle, unhurried space where children can build confidence at their own pace. Most importantly, Story Explorers is a welcoming community—a chance to get out of the house during the summer weeks, connect with other local families, and make lovely holiday memories together. 💛
