I used to think there was something wrong with me.
Too impulsive.
Too emotional.
Too intense.
Turns out… it was ADHD which i found out 2 years ago when i was 60.
And honestly? It explains a lot.
The adventures.
Saying yes when most people would hesitate.
Booking the trip, taking the risk, jumping (sometimes literally — this photo says it all as i took a paragling course for my 50th birthday).
But also…
The crashes.
The overwhelm.
Trusting the wrong people - too frequently.
Feeling everything so deeply it can knock the wind out of you.
For years, I tried to tone myself down…
Fit into a version of life that just didn’t feel natural.

I see it differently now.

This photo isn’t just about paragliding.
It’s about a life lived on instinct, courage… and yes, a bit of chaos.
And maybe that’s exactly how it was meant to be.
I even wrote a book about my hectic lufe "Memoirs of an ADHD Butterfly" the highs, the heartbreak, the humour in it all.
Because I know I’m not the only one who’s felt this way.

I’ve made an unexpected new friend… a raven.
Now, if you know anything about ravens, you’ll know they’re incredibly intelligent. They say they can even remember human faces. I like to think he remembers mine.
I started leaving a little food out for him. At first, he kept his distance—flying off the moment I appeared. But slowly, day by day, he’s become braver.
Now he arrives most evenings, just before the sun dips, strutting across the grass as if he owns the place. It makes me smile every time.
The most fascinating part? He doesn’t eat everything straight away. Instead, he carefully hides some of it. I’ve watched him walk off, choose a spot, dig a little hole, tuck the food inside, and cover it with leaves or grass—like a tiny, feathered survivalist planning ahead.
There’s something quite beautiful about earning the trust of a wild creature. It doesn’t happen overnight. It takes patience, consistency… and a willingness to simply be present.
And maybe that’s the lesson in it all.
The best things—trust, connection, even friendship—aren’t rushed.
They’re built slowly. Quietly.
One small moment at a time.
