About the Role
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Childminding Assistant to support the day-to-day care of children in a warm, home-based childcare setting. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with young children and supporting their learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with the care and supervision of children aged 6 months to 4 years.
• Supporting children’s play, learning, and development in line with the EYFS
• Helping to plan and take part in fun, age-appropriate activities
• Ensuring children’s safety, wellbeing, and hygiene at all times
• Helping to keep the environment clean, safe, and welcoming
• Supporting positive behaviour and routines
• Communicating effectively with the childminder and parents when needed
Requirements
• A genuine passion for working with children
• Reliable, patient, and nurturing nature
• Ability to work as part of a small team
• Basic understanding of child development and safeguarding (training will be provided)
• Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete training)
• Enhanced DBS check (required or be willing to be have one processed
• Previous childcare experience is desirable but not essential
