💡Note to parents 💡

Suncream
As the nicer summer weather is now here, we would appreciate it, if every child comes with sun cream on and a top up of suncream in there bag.
Please appreciate we have more than one child to care for and our working day gets very busy so ensuring suncream is already on them before arriving is very much appreciated.

Lunch boxes
To help keep the children’s pack lunches cool they are know being put in a ice box throughout the day however ice boxes in there own lunch boxes is also welcome.
As always we do ask parents to reframe from putting anything sticky In lunchboxes and sandwiches such as jam and chocolate spread, peanut butter etc. this is know an essential highlight that we ask you to reframe from the above as sticky and heat just do not mix well.
At little chafford we encourage healthy eating.

Shoes
As a remainder we opporate a close toe shoe policy within the setting for the children this is for their own health and safety, even though the weather is hot please reframe from sending open toe shoes.

Splash pool
Though out the hotter wether there may be days where we put up a small splash pool for the younger children to keep them cool. If you wish for your child to use the splash pool, please ensure they bring with them swimwear and a towel. For children of nappy using please ensure they have nappy swimmers.

The big pool
The big swimming pool is for the older children of the setting only not the younger children the use of the big pool is granted with parents permission only.
For the older children in the setting to use the pool we will ask them to bring their swimmers and towel along with armbands if required.

While the children are active in the slash pool or swimming pool they are always supervised by an adult. Staff are fully trained in first aid and a risk assessment and policy of use is always reviewed and put inaction and followed, so we can all enjoy and be safe in the heatwave.

Every day we are so grateful for all the lovely families we get to work with that allow us to develop such a lovely relationship with their children and be such a big part of their life as much as they are ours. 💐🌷💗
