This week, we’ve been celebrating Trust Reading Week, working in collaboration with NTC and NSFG to build a shared culture where reading is truly valued, celebrated, and placed at the heart of learning.
Our children have loved coming together to explore activities inspired by the book 'The Arrival'. Through this shared experience, they’ve not only developed a deeper enthusiasm for reading, but have also strengthened connections across year groups.
It’s been wonderful to see pupils of all ages engaging, collaborating, and developing a real love for stories and storytelling.

BIG NEWS THIS THANK A TEACHER DAY!
On this special day, when we celebrate the incredible impact all school staff have on young lives, we are beyond proud to share some truly exciting news…
👏 Please join us in congratulating Mr Paterson on this amazing achievement! 👏
The Pearson National Teaching Awards are a UK-wide celebration of excellence in education, recognising the outstanding work of teachers, support staff and school leaders who inspire, support and transform lives every day.
To be recognised as part of these prestigious awards is a phenomenal honour — and a true reflection of dedication, passion, and the difference one person can make to an entire community.
Mr Paterson, your leadership, commitment and care for every child truly embodies what these awards stand for. We are incredibly proud to celebrate you today!

This week is Drowning Prevention Week, and ahead of the Year 6 trip to Margate, children have been learning how to stay safe in and around water. They have explored risks, key safety messages, and what to do in an emergency. We will also be welcoming an RLSS volunteer, who will deliver a water safety assembly to reinforce these important messages.

✨ Welcome back! ✨
We’re so excited to begin our final term of the year – and what a fantastic term it’s going to be! 🎉
There’s lots to look forward to, including fun trips/visitors, exciting events, and transition opportunities for all year groups as we start preparing for the next step in their journeys.
We’ve already kicked things off in style, welcoming our new Year 3 children today! They enjoyed a PE lesson where they worked brilliantly in their teams, settled in confidently, and had lots of fun playing games. We can’t wait to see them again soon! 🏃‍♂️💛
Here’s to a brilliant term ahead! 🌟

What a fantastic way to round off the term! 🎉
Our school has been buzzing with excitement as every year group enjoys something special this week.
Year 4 have had an unforgettable trip to Eagle Heights, getting up close with incredible animals and learning all about wildlife 🦅
Year 6 have stepped into the future with an immersive VR experience, as well as enjoying their time out at Woodlands Park 🌳
Meanwhile, Years 3 and 5 have been captivated by a visit from the brilliant storyteller Chris Connaughton, inspiring imaginations across the school 📚✨
And we are so excited for the Colour Run later! 🌈🏃‍♀️ We can’t wait for the laughter, energy and bursts of colour as we come together to celebrate the end of term.
What a brilliant week all round! 🙌

Today our chicks returned to the coop and were happily reunited with their mum and dad after being incubated right here in school. What a lovely ending to our chick‑hatching journey!

What a fun day it’s been! We’ve absolutely loved seeing all the children dress up as their favourite teachers - the creativity has been brilliant, and the teachers have been very flattered to see so many miniature versions of themselves roaming the school! Thank you all so much for your generous donations; your support truly makes days like this possible.
